Winter Comes to a Close ?
All the evidence points to the snow being gone from the greater Capital Region, for the year, although there are many points up north that still have upwards of two feet of snow on the ground. But unless we have an unexpected snow storm further out, the 10-day forecast suggests only more melting. Maybe are done with winter. Or maybe not.

Seal spotted on Hudson River ice just south of Albany
"Castleton-on-Hudson -- Ken Meyer was driving along and glanced at the Hudson River, where he spotted what appeared to be βa blob on the ice.β
βIt first I thought it was a goose,β the village Department of Public Works employee said. He stopped his vehicle, pulled out his cell phone and zoomed in on it.
βIt was a seal. Just hanging out there on the ice,β he said. βIβve lived here for 37 years. Iβve heard of them in the area. Once one was spotted up by the Troy Dam. Iβve never seen one in person, though.β
Absolutely beautiful afternoon
Beautiful evening today on this Friday afternoon π. Today was the first time it’s been 72 degrees since October 11, 2018. β After a cloudy β morning it became quite nice. I’m probably going to head out to the park β² as soon as I’m done with dinner.
