Privacy Policy

First, off I want to say, there is nothing private on the internet, lol. πŸ₯° You are leaving a large digital footprint every time you browse the Internet, and digital marketers including Google Adsense will use it to sell your creepy advertising for mental health services, diseases you probably don’t have, and so much that is scammy including computer viruses (I’ve seen them advertised here). Be careful what you click on in the internet, but also recognize if there is a product there is of interest to you, I wouldn’t mind if you checked out one of my sponsors’ website and sent me a dime. That way maybe that way some day, I’ll be able to buy land and that ATV you see advertised on my blog.

1. Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Terms

I, Andy Arthur, am committed to protecting your privacy to the extent I can, recognizing that any website will collect some necessary personal data for operations, including pages requested. My vendors, including Google Adsense will collect other data about the products and services you are interested in. This Privacy Statement sets forth my current privacy practices with regard to the information I collect when you or your computer interact with https://andyarthur.org. By accessing AndyArthur.org, you acknowledge and fully understand my Privacy Statement and freely consent to the information collection and use practices described in this Website Privacy Statement.

2. Participating Clients, Merchant Policies, and Third Party Websites

Related services and offerings with links from this website, including all other websites, have their own privacy statements that can be viewed by clicking on the corresponding links within each respective website. Andy Arthur is not responsible for the privacy practices or contents of third-party or client websites. I recommend and encourage that you always review the privacy policies of merchants and other third parties before you provide any personal information or complete any transaction with such parties. Some can be quite scammy, and will certainly use it to target you for more ads. But will it buy me a boat? Probably not, lol.

3. Information I Collect and How I Use It

I, Andy Arthur, collect certain information from and about its users three ways: directly from my Web Server logs, the user, and with Cookies. Nothing special but the normal stuff you get with WordPress and Google Adsense. When you visit my Website, I may track information to administer the site and analyze its usage for the purpose of serving my ever so special visitors better.

This website uses Google Ads’ free conversion tracking features on certain pages. If you browse my pages, the destination page will have code on it that will help us understand the path you took to arrive on that page. (Obviously!)

We use Google Ads remarketing codes to log when users view specific pages or take specific actions on a website. This allows me to provide targeted advertising in the future. Whatever the hell that means, assuming it buys me beer. If you do not wish to receive this type of advertising from me in the future you can opt out using the DoubleClick opt-out page or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. More information on opting-out from targeted advertising across the interwebs. And change what ads that Google serves to you.

I promise I won’t disclose personally identifiable information I collect from you to third parties without your permission except to the extent necessary including:

  • To protect myself from liability (f-lawyers, although I like free paper trash I can use to start fires and burn).
  • To use in marketing and advertising (I can use that dime to pay for blog and buy more beer, gasoline and ammo out of state).
  • To respond to legal process or comply with law (don’t worry the government is monitoring you and I).

Not that there is all much that special information, besides your browser type, IP address, and whatever cookies WordPress and Google Ad Sense do for you. A good overview of what many sites like this one collect from you, do visit the FTC website.

4. Changes to This Statement

I, Andy Arthur, has the sole discretion to occasionally update this privacy statement. It’s my blog, after all. I do encourage you to periodically review this privacy statement to stay informed about how I am helping to protect the personal information I collect from you. Especially if it involves fire.

5. Contacting Me!

If you have questions regarding my wonderful Privacy Statement, its implementation, failure to adhere to this Privacy Statement and/or my general practices, please contact me by mail or drop me an email. Honest, I don’t bite but it might smell a bit like very fermented silage or burnt plastic. I don’t read my email every day, and sometimes up in woods drinking beer and wasting ammo, but I promise I will take a look before taking a match to it.

“They call me redneck, white trash and blue collar
But I could change all that if I had a couple million dollars
I keep hearing that money is the root of all evil
And you can’t fit a camel through the eye of a needle
I’m sure that’s probably true
But it still sounds pretty cool

‘Cause it could buy me a boat
It could buy me a truck to pull it
It could buy me a Yeti 110 iced down with some silver bullets
Yeah, and I know what they say, money can’t buy everything
Well, maybe so
But it could buy me a boat
