I ended up running to the bank 🏦 and tonight to deposit my paycheck, return beer cans 🍻 and get food and supplies for camping. 🛒 I also picked clear plastic bags for recycling ♻ and another propane lantern. 🏮 I’m going to part out my current one, because the globe alone costs $11 and I’m sure I’ll need one from that in the future and by the time I were to replace the plugged regulator it probably would have cost more than buying new. 🛠 I do plan to use this new lantern on the spare Big Buddy filter I have to hopefully stop issues with it getting plugged.
Honestly, I didn’t want to go shopping tonight 🏧 but I got my paycheck today in the mail ✉ and I needed to deposit it right away because it’s the end of the month and I have a lot of bills coming due on Friday. Plus my renters insurance is due, so it’s $1,750 due soon including automatic investments and savings withdrawals and without the paycheck in the bank it could be very tight. I make good money 💵 but the more I make the more that gets invested or spent. My checking account is often paycheck to paycheck. I hope next pay period I’ll have direct deposit back. 👩👩👦👦 Usually this is a bad night with the crowds at the store but this time it was relatively empty.
I have all the food 🍲 and supplies I need for camping 🏕. I’m leaving for the Adirondacks come Saturday. Where exactly I’ll go I’m a bit undecided although it looks like a mild and pleasant weekend. Probably not too remote in case I run into snow or ice 🌨 up north. Never got to the library 📚 to get books but I have some I can bring from home 🏡 and I’ll have lots of podcasts I’ll download tomorrow.

Lately I’ve been sleeping 😴 better. I’ve been trying hard to retire early each night and keep my bedroom dark. 💊 I forgot to get sleeping pills again but I am trying to get away from taking so many these days if I can avoid them. Also trying to use a lot of dim red light in my bedroom. Camping in the Adirondacks also always seems to improve my sleep.
