December 9, 2019 Night

Good evening! Rain and 47 degrees in Delmar, NY. β˜” There is a south breeze at 14 mph. 🍃 with gusts up to 24 mph 💨💨💨. There are 12 inches of snow on the ground. β˜ƒ ️Temperatures will drop below freezing at tomorrow around 9 pm. β˜ƒοΈ

Mild but not a real nice evening tonight. 💦 Rode the exercise bike for a while and then played some more with data in LibreOffice Calc. 🔢For being somewhat computer savvy I am shocked that I had never used the LOOKUP and Match function before in Excel. That is so much more handy than the manually matching rows like I’ve done in the past. Or using a pivot table. Don’t laugh at my stupidity. Watched some YouTube videos. As my neighbor was home I didn’t ride the bike past 8 pm so not to annoy him with the rumble.

Tonight will rain likely, mainly before 4am. Areas of dense fog before 1am. Otherwise, cloudy 🌧, with a low of 44 degrees at 9pm. 21 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around October 4th. South wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. In 2018, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 20 degrees. The record low of -4 occurred back in 1902.

Tonight will have a Waxing Gibbous Moon 🌔 with 98% illuminated. The moon will set at 5:21 am. The Cold Moon 🌕 is on Wednesday night with a partly cloudy then slight chance of snow showers skies. The sun will rise at 7:13 am with the first light at 6:41 am, which is 54 seconds later than yesterday. 🌄 Tonight will have 14 hours and 52 minutes of darkness, an increase of 54 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 40 by 5pm. ☁ South wind 8 to 13 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A year ago, we had cloudy skies in the morning with more sun in the afternoon. The high last year was 39 degrees. The record high of 64 was set in 1966. 6.1 inches of snow fell back in 2014.❄

It looks like the voltage switch I ordered from China arrived ⚑in the United States today and I’ll likely have it by the end of the week. Once I get it I will do some testing and as much of the wiring I can do inside before taking it out to Big Red to hook up. The plan is if all goes well to use it to feed power to the starting battery automatically to top it off during the week and when camping when I have excess power coming into the panel. 🔋 This will help automatically balance the batteries and keep it so my starting battery is fully charged while camping even if I open and close the doors a lot.

I really should spend more time my soldering iron building shit. 🔬But ever since I got those Bluetooth headphones working and set my computer up to download my favorite YouTube videos I’ve wasted too much time in front of the tube. I also need to read more, but that’s something I tend to do more up at camp. β›Ί
