Rumble strips are controversial as they can have noise impacts on surrounding communities, and some people argue that the safety benefits of them are overstated. They also can be dangerous to cyclists if not properly planned and used, and cause problems with icing on roads.
Good morning, Happy Monday. Nice clear day out today with the sun shining and the birds a singing. It may be only 23 degrees but it is warmer than recent.
This week is supposed to break the cold pattern of recent weeks with temperatures promising to reach a little bit above normal. Some of the snow might get a chance to melt away. Winter can’t last forever.
Maybe I’m just overly perky because I drank a pot full of coffee before heading down to the bus stop, in an effort to stay awake with the time change. Regardless, I’m thrilled with the warmer weather and longer evenings before darkness.
Now if only the snow would melt, I could go down to the park with a book each night after work. That is my favorite summer activity when I stay in town.
