Leap Day! 🐸

Leap Day! 🐸

Yeap, one of those odd presidential election years where we had 29 days in February. I’m just glad the month is done and we are off to March and hopefully spring.

Today’s project has been to work on a before and after aerial photo capacity for the blog

Today’s project has been to work on a before and after aerial photo capacity for the blog. Especially because I’m finding so many old aerial photos from the USGS this could be a very neat feature. It will work a lot like the Congress for New Urbanism website where they show city downtowns before and after urban renewal but my focus will be on all kinds of changes in land use and maybe some photos or maps from times past.

More on Why I Think Bernie Sanders is a Good Candidate.

More on why I think Bernie Sanders is a good candidate …

  1. He speaks directly to the core beliefs of many Democrats, he’s not a “I’ll hold my nose and vote for the Democrat” candidate
  2. He is really good on issues that the Democratic base cares about — campaign finance, universal healthcare, climate change
  3. He is a Senator from one of the most rural states in America — Vermont — and he knows how to talk to rural voters and farmers
  4. He’s running against Trump, a wealthy-big city Republican — who can claim to care about the rust belt — but Trump is a man mostly disconnected from those voters
  5. He’s not a social issue driven candidate – he might be a socialist but he’s hardly out there on “grabbing your guns” or “gray rights”
