Good afternoon! Mostly cloudy and 18 degrees in Delmar, NY. Breezy, 17 mph breeze from the northwest with gusts up to 30 mph. The current wind chill is 3. The skies will clear around 7 pm. π¬π¬π¬ I went out to my truck to get the Gadsen flag πout of the back to decorate my bedroom, and I found the lock was frozen and it was cold as a mother outside.Β I ended up with both of the flags in my truck, because one of them got ripped at the brambles at the Ohiopyle Campground. Oh, well, they aren’t that expensive.
I got the facemask out before I headed down to the library. I look redneck as shit with the facemask and blaze orange hoodie on, but its nice and warm, so I can’t complain. Plus, now I’m at the library, where it’s plenty warm and I have internet, and it doesn’t use my data like smartphone. It’s tough being poor and unable to afford Internet at home, especially on a cold day like today. π₯ But I’m still sure that …
π·π·Only 66 days remain until the first day of calendar spring!π·π·
I can’t wait until I can head down to the park after work, π³either with a book or my laptop. But that is not to be today, with the cold and still relatively early sunset. So I’m down at the library. But those days will come once again, or so I’m told.

Like many Saturdays, today was a pretty lazy one, working on some code, doing some writing and research, looking at some data, making up some maps. πΊπ₯ I guess I could have gone skiing, but I don’t want to drive anywhere with so much salt on the road, after washing my truck yesterday. Plus the windshield is frozen with ice. So it’s not going anywhere for a while, especially with the wipers frozen fast.π I stocked up on food last night after going to the car wash, so I should be set for a few more days.
This evening, I plan to build the case for the first LED module that I am building. I will also do a temporary code routine with the DHT 111 display temperature and humidity, and maybe play with the RTC simulator, although hopefully the real-time clock chip I ordered will arrive, so I can design the first display with changing messages this week. It would be fun to be woken up each morning, to “Good Morning, Today is Sunday, January, 15.” “It is 60 degrees inside here.”π₯
As previously noted, there are 3 weeks until The Day the Music DiedΒ πΆπ΅πΈπ when the sun will be setting at 5:12 pm with dusk at 5:41 pm.
