Governor William Sulzer is a press corp favorite in Albany because the governor hung his picture with a starring pose next to the room where the legislative leaders meet to discuss the budget and major policy initiatives. I’m sure that the placement is intentional.
Today in 1970 the US Postal service went on strike, slowing and stopping the mail in parts of the country. At the time, it was called the largest wild cat strike in American history and probably the largest public sector strike off all times.
