Good Evening! Happy Earth Day. The week is moving along well, although Monday was crazy. Today wasn’t so bad. Still a lot of stuff to do.
I finished up my trapper study-at-home class portion, so it’s ready for Saturday. The class is at 8 AM, which is much too early down in Hudson, but I guess I will just set my alarm clock early and go to bed at a reasonable hour on Friday evening. Got to get some hip waders before the class, as we’re going to be out in the muck, especially after the rain.
Most of the day was cloudy, although the rain is now picking up. Itβs good to have rain though, as April showers bring May flowers β and reduce the fire danger β even if most fires outside of campfires are now are illegal in NY State. Between that and SAFE Act and people’s generally stuck up attitudes… well, make up your own mind.
Earth Day today, although it doesn’t seem to be that big of a holiday this year. As with most days, I rode the bus to work, as I don’t like driving my big truck in the city. I also reused an old plastic milk bottle for purposes of making ice for the next time I am camping. I now have 4 gallons of ice frozen in my freezer plus 2 half gallons of ice frozen. That should both save energy in the freezer and keep my food cold when camping.
