I’ve become quite the book worm over the past week, nearly finishing three large books…. One about Freddie Mac, Volkswagen Emissions Scandal and and one on Great Lakes pollution. π I enjoy reading only about the most uplifting topics.

So I am trying to make ice blocks with salt water now.
So I am trying to make ice blocks with salt water now. It will be a good thing if they keep coolers colder in the hot of long summer weekends.

Looks like today will be a pretty cold and gray day. 📚 I have a bunch of little things to work on around the apartment then maybe I’ll walk down to the library and read for a while. I don’t feel like driving anywhere today.
Today will have a chance of showers, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 35 by 4pm. Breezy, with a west wind 11 to 16 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A year ago, we had cloudy skies. The high last year was 25 degrees. The record high of 60 was set in 1990. 12.3 inches of snow fell back in 1969.β
The sun will set at 4:25 pm with dusk around 4:57 pm, which is 32 seconds later than yesterday. 🌇 At sunset, look for mostly cloudy skies β andtemperatures around 35 degrees. The wind chill around sunset will be 23. βοΈ Breezy, 24 mph breeze β from the west-northwest with gusts up to 40mph. Yuck. Tonight will be partly cloudy 🌤, with a low of 28 degrees at 5am. Nine degrees above normal, which is similiar to a typical night around November 29th. Maximum wind chill around 19 at 6am; Breezy, with a west wind 19 to 24 mph decreasing to 11 to 16 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. After many minutes fiddling with the windshield wiper I bought it looks like I bought the wrong one. 😤 Go figure. It says it right on the package. Well I’ll look to see if I can find the receipt. It wasn’t the cheapest blade at Walmart but it was quite affordable. Probably won’t try to return it until the holiday craziness dies down for the year.
As previously noted, there are 3 weeks until Coldest Day Ever Recorded in Albany 💨 when the sun will be setting at 4:44 pm with dusk at 5:15 pm. On that day in 2018, we had rain and temperatures between 63 and 39 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 30 degrees. We hit a record high of 63 back in 2018.
