Itotally got killed by the black flies 🐜 today when I was laying back on the hammock, emailing and calling clients. It was a pleasant place to work but the black flies and the sun burnt wasn’t so much fun. Tomorrow if the heat is bareable I’ll spend more time in the screen tent 🎪.
The sun ☀ was good for part of the day and the breeze was nice so solar power worked fine for the laptop and all other things that needed a charge. I didn’t really mind working this Memorial Day as it was a beautiful weekend and maybe while a working weekend a good one. I just wish I had used more sunscreen and DEET or picardin on my legs.
While the screen tent 🎪 is good for the black flies, at times it sure is hot during the day. While occasionally a bug will sneak in and bite for the most part the black flies are very well controlled by the tent. They are starting to die down now for the night 🌃 and then maybe I’ll have a small fire if the breeze dies down and lay back in the hammock. 🔥 I am worried about how dry it is up here, so I want to keep any fire small but it would be nice to burn up the paper plates and camp trash.
