Mostly clear this evening around 74 degrees. The dewpoint is 64 and is dropping, leading to comfortable sleeping tonight. The crickets are loud this evening. I think the fireflies have retired for the year. Waxing Gibbous Moon is overhead in the south west, will set a little after midnight. Next Sunday is a full moon. Ten hours and 25 minutes of darkness tonight.

August 23, 2015 morning
Good morning. Currently 64 degrees and sunny. Nice, low humidity, crisp weather continues today with a high around 83.
Today, I’m heading off to Partridge Run to do some shore fishing and while I can’t really walk far it still will be nice to get out for a bit. I might also stop by the park so I can upload the latest batch of maps to the blog. My goal is to have an improved new map on the blog every day this week, focusing on the High Peaks region of NY.
It was pretty on the way back from Henry Hudson Park last night with the sun setting over the Heldebergs and the corn fields growing high. I wanted to stop and get a picture but there was traffic behind me and no good place to pull over. But the sunsets are coming earlier and if I want to get out I have to drive with my sprained ankle. So maybe later in the week I’ll get to capture a photo.
