I Hate Facebook Comments

If there was one feature I hate about Facebook is it’s comments. I wish you could turn them off, and people could simply just like or share posts on your normal Facebook Wall. Too often Facebook discussions get political and heated, when a post is only intended to provoke ideas and get people thinking. Too often the Internet causes people to reject unfamiliar or new ideas outright, without considering their merit. And we all feel the need to come up with a clever response to somebody’s post that we disagree with.

Over the years, I’ve been on and off about having comments on my personal blog. Because it’s slightly more difficult to comment on a blog then Facebook, I find the comments on my blog are a lot nicer and more thoughtful. I think people see personal blogs as more of a personal space, so they are more respectful, compared to the Facebook pages of individuals. At least that’s my take on it.

Cloudy and sore this morning  ☁️

Truth is I’m stressed out about picking up the bike wheel this morning, drilling out the valve stem and reinstalling it even though I know it will go fine. It’s already paid for and this is a common procedure, but I almost don’t want to work on bike, as I’ve been avoiding it in pure fear, even though I know it will go fine.

Looks like there are rain showers out west and maybe they’ll hit here or not. 🌧️ No sure if I’ll make it up Blodgett Hill after all but oh well. I still need to go out and pick up the wheel. All depends on the weather this morning.

The low cost option for the day 🚢

It was a nice afternoon spend walking around and enjoying nature at Five Rivers today. Just a quiet walk out there, not a lot of people were there. Listened to some audio books and a few times had to duck under pavilions to avoid rain but in general a nice way to spend my Saturday. I do wish I had my bike back so I could travel further but Monday I hope to be back on the road.
