Even though the trees where showing some signs of green, it was still somewhat gray out there.

I was hoping with the higher water levels from the rain, I could paddle a ways up the creek towards the lower pond on Beaver Road. However, due to this pond being man-made and controlled by a spillway, and the beaver dam blocking the upper part of the river, I could not go any further then normally. Tubbs Pond is much to small!

Speaking of how well plowed Shultes Road was, until you got past the last house, and it was unplowed and completely untraveled by snowmobiles to pack the snow down. The snow was 4-6 feet deep, and tough going.

I did not dare get too close to the edge, because it was slippery. It looks like it was snowing on the other side of the valley, but I didn't see much snow. May have just been the winter haze.

The DEC about five years ago installed all these signs to label various trails at Partridge Run. The signs where mostly quickly stolen. One of the remaining ones.

These are the ponds on the unnamed, usually gated truck trail between Partridge Run Road and Partridge Truck Trail.
