Good evening! Overcast skies and 50 degrees in Delmar, NY. β Calm wind. The skies will clear Saturday around 7 am.
Not a half bad evening. I’m sitting out back drinking some cold water and apple cider vinegar. π I had some beer in my truck but I locked it in my attic because I don’t like drinking alcohol anymore π» because it’s expensive and unhealthy. Maybe a beer once and a while at camp but otherwise not. I can’t afford to steal from my future anymore. Life’s too short as it is. I had a nice evening walk after eating se sausages I found in the freezer π£ which after eating I decided was a bit too greasy for my taste. πΆ
Today was kind of a busy day at work, πΌ but the day flew by and I was able to leave at 5:30 and walk down to Rite Aid on North Pearl Street and buy some overpriced contact solution. Two bottles for $13.49 seemed rather pricy compared to what I pay at Walmart but I’m sure Hannaford would be close to that price range and it would have ended up costing more if I drove there. π At least I’ll be able to store my contacts properly when the almost empty bottle of contact fluid runs out. πΆ
The driver of the big articulated bus this evening π was so aggressive with the brakes and the horn. π― I’m surprised as usually the big articulated bus drivers are the most experienced and best drivers. He also didn’t have his bus block number programmed into the computer so you couldn’t track the arrival of the bus. Maybe he was just having a bad day. I noticed a bus supervisor watching the buses in Delmar so I wonder if they were waiting to talk to him about not entering in the block number on the bus.
I heard this week is $2.99 half gallon ice cream special at Stewart’s for all flavors. π¦π§π¨ I’ve also cut way back on that too but I think it would be fun to get a box of ice cream. I don’t have to eat it all right away. Stewart’s has so many good flavors of ice cream.

Tonight will have a Waning Crescent Moon π with 14% illuminated. The moon will rise at 4:16 am. The New Moon is on Friday night with showers. The Flower Moon π is on Friday, May 17th. The sun will rise at 5:51 am with the first light at 5:21 am, which is one minute and 24 seconds earlier than yesterday. π Tonight will have 9 hours and 56 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 31 seconds over last night. Nights are definitely getting pretty short at this point. That’s good, especially when it warms up and I can go down to the park after work with a book. π Reading is good.
Tomorrow will have showers likely, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy π¦, with a high of 54 degrees at 4pm. 10 degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around April 6th. The high last year was 51 degrees. The record high of 86 was set in 1903. There was a dusting of snow in 2008.β I think I know where my umbrella β is, I may need it for my trip into work tomorrow.

That should be great weekend for meeting with my aunt and maybe my sister and niece. πͺ I think my aunt is staying in Saratoga Springs so maybe we can all go to a park somewhere and enjoy the nice spring weather. π·I noticed for the first time today that tulips are starting to pop up in Albany.
