If we want to reduce gun violence๐ซ in our country, we should increase foot patrols of police in high crime neighborhoods,๐ฎ install brighter street lights,๐ก spruce up bus stops and parks,๐๐ plant more trees and flowers,๐ณ๐ป reduce speed limits and lanes,๐๐๐ encourage gardens and backyard chickens,๐๐ host more street fairs and block parties,๐ช๐ฌ and encourage wealthier people to move to the troubled neighborhoods๐ท๐๐ด to rehabilite old houses and generally gentrify them.๐ก
Gentrification of bad neighborhoods is the only proven way to end gun violence.๐ ๐ฆ๐ซ All other methods have little to no evidence of their effectiveness.
"Scarboroughโs exceptionally narrow definition of Heller โ possess handguns at home for the purpose of protection โ might be convenient for a political argument, itโs misleading. The Heller decision found that the Second Amendment was an individual right to keep and bear arms for any โlawful purpose,โ not merely home protection. It found that the Second Amendment โguarantee[s] the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation.โ (Italics mine.) And it specifically struck down a portion of a DC law that required rifles and shotguns be kept โunloaded and disassembled or bound by a trigger lock.โ
"German families in the 1960s loved tasty, cheap American-raised chicken that was suddenly coming in after the war. At the same time, Americans loved fun, cheap Volkswagen Beetles. This arrangement was too good to last."

I soldered up a circuit board for the clock and quickly pulled out the USB connector. So I had to unsolder a bunch of things to fix it. 🔬That was kind of annoying. I’m not sure where I put the other break out boards for USB, as I have five of them with two now broken. The next one I install I’m going to pot carefully with hot glue so hopefully it remains in place.
Tomorrow if it’s relatively warm, I’m going to try to replace the ground connector on the truck cap so I have power to the cap once again. โบ🚘I’m hoping I have the enough loose wire that I don’t have to fully pull the ground wire and resolder an extension on the wire.
I am hoping to get out hiking tomorrow because both today and President’s Day, I expect to be busy. 🏃🏂Maybe going skiing but I doubt the snow from tonight will last into the day tomorrow with things expected to warm up quickly tomorrow.
There is one month until Saint Patricks Day🍀🍀🍀🍀 when the sun will be setting at 7:04 pm with dusk at 7:32 pm (Daylight Savings Time). 🌆 Especially if we have some warm March weather this should be nice having the daylight in the evening. 📑I’m busy typically in March with work so I expect the month to go by quickly. 📆
