Back home watching the Republican National Convention, after going to the park then down to the store. Trying to learn more about each candidate before I go out voting this November.

This afternoon will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. Mostly cloudy, with a high of 86 degrees at 5pm. Five degrees above normal. Southwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Slowly but surely over the past few weeks the days have gotten shorter. Within the next day or so, dusk will be happening around 9 PM, rather then the 9:12 PM at the peak of the daylight. Temperatures remain near constant through the third week of August, then start the steady but certain decline as the month of September approaches.
