It looks like we are heading into another rainy weekend on this Friday, though my bike is back working again with the new chain and cassette and it should be a good commute in, though maybe a bit windy and cloudy this morning.
Mild but cloudy and gray this morning. Bled out the front brake again on the bike as it had an air bubble again after tipping it over. Looks windy out again, which will make a bit cool for riding but it’s at least in 50s out. Then it’s off to work, maybe meetings downtown in the afternoon, and then home for the rainy weekend. I thought about doing an overnight like to Rensselearville but its not going to happen as I have nothing packed and rain is expected before seven PM tomorrow. But going to be a nice evening, maybe I’ll go down to park for a while tor read after work.
Then just rain for the weekend. I swear each weekend the forecast only grows bleeker. Depression? What you need is Better Help say the advertisers. I was walking in the Plaza, and they now they even have advertising for mental help services on TV billboards they have at Plaza. Doesn’t help the schizophrenic guy though from yelling at people walking by, trying to get their steps in while their bike is broke. I guess lots of reading this weekend is of order. Truth is I’m just tired and really desperate for a weekend in the wilderness. I know spring will come, and I’ll have fires and shit, but that house in Hannacroix I was somewhat fluerting with has been sold. I really don’t want to buy in New York,
I don’t want vinyl siding and sheet rock, and I do want to be able to burn trash, have bonfires and open carry handguns without a permit, all illegal in New York. About the only thing not illegal in New York is actually law breaking, like sneaking over the border. They’ll give you a free college education for that. And apparently you can buy soda and candy with food stamps. That later point really burns me up. I get that we shouldn’t be telling the poor what they should be eating, but also I don’t think the government should be in the business of subsidizing death and a life of disability from obesity and the hundreds of diseases caused by consuming sugar and unhealthy fats in absence of nutrients.
I do hope I get my New York State Tax Refund back soon, as I kind of need the money to pay the feds. And I hope I didn’t mess up my taxes and I end up just owing the feds but I think I did it right but it’s confusing with the blog revenue and all those dividends and interest payments. Literally down to that last $200 in my checking account after last month’s bills, and that’s after I borrowed from my rainy day account. It never stops raining in April though I get paid on Monday which should hopefully get my balance up so I don’t get dinged for insufficient funds. Need to keep $700 daily average balance in my account for free checking. Even though I get the COLA and retro on Monday, it will be less as I increased my tax withholding so hopefully next year I won’t owe so much. Life is so taxing, even though what I really just want is a run-down off-grid cabin with some livestock and freedom to own whatever guns I want and have big fires to burn all kinds of debris while drinking beer and smoking weed. And maybe an ATV and a farm tractor with a big scoop to shovel manure! Fun shit.
With all that coffee I’ve been drinking, plus eating carrots as snacks, and those carrot pancakes oh do I keep pooping. I swear I spend half of my life in the bathroom but I do know the benefits of a high fiber diet. And then all those onions, though honestly I’m getting a bit tired of them. Soon though I’ll be able to get zucchuni cheaply at the store which should be good. Assuming anything is ever cheap, now that prices are going up with tarrifs. So fucking stupid, Mr. Trumpster. I get tarrifing all that plastic crap that is flowing in from China and made by children working in factories that are billowing toxic smoke into air, but to go after everything in search of revenue seems so silly. I would like a tax break, especially on my investments, but I’m sure it will be some pissy little amount compared to tarrifs.
Electric toothbrush has been great. With the rechargeable batteries it should last for a while before I have to toss it in the fire. I’ll probably get a more expensive rechargeable one with replaceable heads but I got this one to try it out. My teeth certainly look a lot cleaner, they were so stained and nasty last fall before the cleaning but maybe that was from smoking weed and getting the tar on them. I don’t know lots of giggles last summer and I didn’t always keep my teeth perfect when camping. But between flossing often twice a day and the electric toothbrush things seem better. I don’t want to loose my teeth like my elderly parents are, it seems like such a terrible thing especially if you can prevent it while your young. Plus I really try to avoid all that processed sugar and food crap.
