I’m sure it’s going to rain later ☔

Which is why I am busing it in, which almost ensures that later on I’ll look like a moron waiting for the bus with a rain coat on and no rain to be seen in the sky. That said, I’m hoping for rain to continue the melt down of the snow.

I really did want to ride in today, 🚲 but I also didn’t want to get soaked come 5 PM riding back home, or down to express bus stop downtown. 🚍 So yes, it’s the bus this morning. It’s fine, hopefully this time I’ll be out in time to catch that earlier bus, and then I can walk for a bit and then catch the earlier shuttle over to the Enterprise. Or maybe not, I’ve not done well at catching the Early Express in lately.

Got Big Red 🛻 washed last night. Seemed silly as I had already splashed some salt on it with the still salty roads yesterday and the snow melt but I figured it was the best day to do it this week. Tonight is most likely going to rain, and with the salt the roads will be even worse. Tomorrow might be good, but then it’s halfway to the weekend, and it’s had all that rusting time.

I also did my wash 👚 and got propane 🏮. The laundromat in Glenmont is fine though I prefer the one in Delmar at the Four Corners. For some reason I forgot olive oil and that kept my grocery bill lower than I expected but I can probably get that tomorrow if I ride in. I’m hoping for a good rain this afternoon to further reduce the rail trail down though truth is Thursday looks like the real wet one and Friday will be cold ❄️ and windy. Plus wash more of that salt off my truck.

I’m glad that it’s only a few more days left of February 📅 but now I got to look at what books 📚 I want to get out from the library on Hoopla for March before my borrows expire for the month come Friday. Saturday is March. Not sure if I’m going to get a night in the wilderness 🏕️ this weekend but I have propane and necessary supplies if the weather cooperates. 🌸 I’m looking forward to spending more time in the wilderness, having fires 🔥 and laying back in the hammock and riding trail. 🚴 Plus being able to bike to work on all days except when it’s raining out both directions on the bike trail. It just makes the days so much more pleasurable. 😃

Ran into my new neighbor yesterday, haven’t seen him in a while as he works a different 👥schedule. He’s up earlier then I am, at least he’s off to work quite early. He was saying he and the other neighbor have decided to pitch in and get trash service for their units and I could use his bin if I wanted. He asked how I got rid of my trash – I said mostly the transfer station but lately my parents bin. Truth is there have been many years before my parents got trash service when I would save the burnables 🔥 for when I had fires up in woods and would take the cans and bottles to transfer station for recycling ♻ and that would work fine for me. I would typically go during the end of winter as I could not just recycle the cans and glass, but also drop off the excess paper and milk jugs for recycling. Now I’ve been taking the cans out to my parents for their bin, but truth is I have less and less packaging, since I eat healthy and rarely order anything online. 💩 Most of it is compost, I still save the wrappers for starting fires up at camp.
