The Schiffendecker Farm Preserve is a 40-acre nature preserve located at 309 Bender Lane, Glenmont, NY. Managed by the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy (MHLC), it offers approximately one mile of trails through a wooded ravine featuring streams, small hills, and a beaver dam.

Hiking & Trails
The preserve features a well-marked network of loop trails that are generally considered easy and take about 25–40 minutes to complete.
Yellow Trail: The main loop that covers the bulk of the preserve's interior.
Blue Trail: A short branch that climbs to higher ground for a slight change in elevation.
Red Trail: A loop at the end of the yellow trail that circles a peninsula near the stream.
Purple Trail: A short loop that descends toward a babbling stream.

Visiting Information
Hours: Open daily from dawn to dusk.
Parking: There is a very small gravel parking lot at the trailhead with space for about four cars.
Access Note: Bender Lane is a one-way street heading east near the intersection with Route 9W. You must approach the preserve from the west via Route 32 to access the trailhead.
Rules: Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times. The preserve follows a "carry-in, carry-out" policy for trash.
Wildlife & Plants: Visitors can see maidenhair ferns and various birds, including the Golden-crowned Kinglet and Brown Creeper.

History & Preservation
The land was donated to the MHLC in 2007 to protect the remaining 40 acres of a historic Glenmont farm from suburban development. It was specifically preserved to mitigate wetland disturbances caused by the construction of nearby commercial and residential areas.
