Meads Road

Lyman and Meads Farms along Meads Road. A rural country road, not that far from where I live that provides for a nice quiet alternative walk back from Five Rivers, and gives me an opportunity to check out the Van Dyke Preserve.

February 10th rarely snows much in Albany.

You’d have to go back to 1892 to find the snow fall record, which is 4 inches. Hardly more then a nuisance snowfall, barely plow-able.

And heck, that 4 inches fell 132 year ago, and since then we’ve always had less.

Walking Out On The Frozen Lake

It's nice having hard water and being able to walk out on the lake, although I stayed well away from the outlet of the lake crossing it, although towards the end I did hear the ice shift, although I still think it's pretty hard -- but I don't know, I didn't cut a hole. Still I'm very careful out on ice, as I wouldn't want to fall through, especially with nobody around. It's February, but winters aren't as hard as they once were.
