The main trail to Whitney Lake was non obvious so I ended up following French Louie Trail and bushwhacking to the southern edge of the lake. It was nice but added like an extra plus to my hike today. 

More of the great color along Pillsbury Lake. 

Looking into the lands of Perkins Clearing there was great colors with all the hardwoods especially the ash and the red maples.
