In southeastern Pennsylvania, a war is already on against Spotted Lanternflies. News reports are rife with people who say they’re sick of seeing hundreds of the reddish wings flocking in their trees, or flying in their faces, and of sticky sap raining down in their yards, and have taken to swatting, trapping, and even vacuuming them.

March 23, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Monday’s come back around again. Back to work on this most cloudy day. Five weeks to Arbor Day 🌳. Clouds and 31 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☁ There is a southeast breeze at 11 mph. πŸƒ. Things will start to thaw out at around 9 am. 🌑️ Snow later but I don’t expect any real accumulation in the valley.

Not a real nice day to start the work week. Iy will rain and snow before 4pm, then rain between 4pm and 5pm, then rain and snow after 5pm. 🌧 High of 40 degrees at 4pm. Honestly, the best two days of week look to be Tuesday and Thursday. β˜€ Both days I’ll probably work from my truck at Bethlehem Library and Five Rivers Environmental Education Center come the afternoon. I enjoy the sun and the solar panel will work well especially now that I’ve fixed the more energy efficient car charger for my laptop. πŸ’»
