Oyrez – Reynolds v. Simms

With the Supreme Court confirmation process underway, maybe it's time to re-think how we elect US Senators in our country. It doesn't seem right that New York State gets the same number of Senators as Vermont, as New York has 31 times more people then Vermont.

In Reynolds v. Sims, the Supreme Court ruled that State Governments could not have Senate bodies, elected by one Senator per County. Instead, they had to use proportional representation. Maybe it's time for the Supreme Court to consider if the two US Senators for every state (regardless of population) is constitutional.

If you are in Southern Schoharie County, do check out the full-size replica of the Old Blenheim Bridge they are building. It’s really impressive. πŸŒ‰

Yesterday, I was driving along Duck Pond Truck Trail in West Fulton. When slowing down to pass, a guy flags me down and says “Bro, you have a headlight out.” I thanked him.

Yeap, my low beam isn’t working on my truck. Bulb is visible burnt out. With the lift kit raising the low-beams to nearly 4 feet off the ground the truck has such bad low beams you can’t see shit after dark on the road with both low beams working.

Doesn’t look hard to replace the headlight bulb — I think it’s just two GM body bolts have to be pulled. I’m going to stop by Advanced Auto this week, buy a new bulb and replace it, certainly before I try to drive at night and can’t see anything at all.

So is life.
