Brothers Keeper πŸ§‘β€πŸŒΎ

You know despite spending so much time working out in Madison County out of the late Bill Magee’s auction house, coordinating campaigns and having heard the story about the Ward Brothers, I had never actually seen the film.

Last night when I got home I really didn’t feel like doing anything much πŸ“Ό with the rain coming down so I decided to look on Kanopy to see if there was any documentaries that struck my fancies. I just stumbled upon this one and I had to watch it. Truth is that I’m always fascinated by rural life and people, it’s certainly not a world 🌍 I’m totally unfamiliar with but it’s one I’m increasingly divorced from having worked in the city for two decades now.

Truth is that I didn’t really care that much about the story 🚜 as I had pretty much heard it in the past but was more interested in how a somewhat so called backwards off-gridder of forty years ago lived and how it’s different from videos and photos today. I don’t really in rural poverty anymore when it seems like these people have so many things that I cannot afford or live. The thing is that I don’t want the television πŸ“Ί in every room or chemical lawns and vinyl siding and gypsum board walls of suburbia. Or the plastic everything and fake recycling bins and solar panels of woke suburbia. The overflowing recycling and garbage cans full of garbage every week from Amazon and ultimately China factories. 🏭

After watching the film it took a while to get to sleep. πŸ›οΈ Something really disturbed me about it but I was still awake by five am this morning to bake bread 🍞 and make coffee β˜• and ultimately breakfast. 🍳 Big pan of onions, πŸ§… beans, spinach and eggs this morning. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« Up early and going. Got to walk and make money. πŸ’°

Heading in early to walk laps in the Plaza. πŸ‘£ I don’t think I will walk up to the office 🏒 in Menands as yesterday I got caught in the rain walking up there. πŸš€ The shuttle is fine but I really prefer to ride my bike to work 🚲 not only because it saves a $2.60 a day plus I get exercise without having to walk the Plaza. I keep running into an old classmate from High School 🚸 on the bus but truth be told I don’t have a lot to say to her even while she asks about my latest camping adventure as if that’s the only thing I have to talk about. Erie Boulevard is still kind of a canal from all the rain. It really floods every spring.
