Good morning! Yeah, it’s Friday! Next Friday is Strawberry Moon. Mostly sunny and 55 degrees in Delmar, NY. Calm wind. The dew point is 45 degrees. Not a half bad walk down to the Park and Ride. A pretty nice day with ample blue skies, but it’s not expected last. Nicer weather though for the weekend.

As previously noted, next Friday is Strawberry Moon when the sun will be setting at 8:32 pm with dusk at 9:07 pm. On that day in 2016, we had partly cloudy skies and temperatures between 65 and 50 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 76 degrees. We hit a record high of 100 back in 1933.
Tomorrow getting the oil changed on my truck and having breakfast at my parents house, and then in the afternoon I will probably do something — but I’m exactly sure what. I have the clear coat to cover the minor rust spots I’ve noticed in the wheel well, in an effort to arrest that before it gets worse. I could go camping at a local state forest on Saturday night, but probably not, because I don’t want to deal with the rain on Sunday.
Next weekend I will probably go camping, possibly locally and go to the Gas Up in the day time. Or maybe I’ll save those plans for the following week and go to the Adirondacks. I’m just hoping for warmer, drier weather so the woods won’t be so muddy and the black flies not so bad.
I’m just hoping for some nice warm and sunny weekends to be coming up, now that summer is upon us. It will be nice to be getting back up to the Adirondacks and feeling the cool from the Potholers running down my back, for hours on end.
