October 25, 2019 Night

Good evening! Rain showers and 49 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜” Calm wind. 0.03 inches of rain is expected before it ends tomorrow around 1 am. Not a big storm just enough to wet the pavement.

I am feeling slightly better. ๐Ÿ˜’ Not as achy and Iโ€™ve pretty much done well hiding how sick Iโ€™ve felt all day. Final day on one chapter in life, another one next week. New adventures are always fun ๐ŸŽข and itโ€™s a great chance to advance my future. Sometimes though this week I have the chills. And the amount I sweat ๐Ÿ˜ฐ at times even in my bedroom with the heat off makes me sure I have a fever. But this week I couldnโ€™t afford to just hide under my covers and be sick all week. I packed lunch but with my sick stomach and the fact that I left my fork ๐Ÿด home I didnโ€™t eat it until I got home.

Tonight I went to the presentation ๐ŸŽฅ of Extinction Rebellion at the Bethlehem Public Library. ๐Ÿ“š I had no idea what the group was about but I knew it involved climate change ๐ŸŒŽ and I thought it would be interesting on Friday evening. Should I have stayed home and rested? Surely. But I learned a lot about this civil disobedience group๐Ÿ‘ฎ and was reminse once again how dire the crisis is and how content we all are plug our ears. ๐Ÿ™‰ Dramatic action is needed but families are busy ๐Ÿ‘ช and they donโ€™t want to give up their television ๐Ÿ“บ and cars ๐Ÿš™. But maybe protests will get people talking. I do hate it when they delay my commute home and Iโ€™m hungry through.

Tonight will be sprinkles likely before midnight, then a chance of light rain between midnight and 2am. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 44 degrees at 4am. Seven degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around October 4th. Light northwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. In 2018, we had cloudy skies in the evening, which became partly cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 27 degrees. The record low of 20 occurred back in 1952.

Tonight will have a Waning Crescent Moon ๐ŸŒ˜ with 1% illuminated. The moon will rise at 5:10 am. The New Moon will be tomorrow with a chance of showers. The Beaver Moon ๐ŸŒ is on Monday, November 11th. The sun will rise at 7:20 am with the first light at 6:51 am, which is one minute and 13 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ Tonight will have 13 hours and 23 minutes of darkness, an increase of 2 minutes and 42 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 58 degrees at 4pm. Two degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around October 21st. North wind around 6 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. The high last year was 45 degrees. The record high of 78 was set in 1963. There was a dusting of snow in 1997.โ„

The plan tomorrow is to Early Vote on Saturday around 11 am and then head up to Troy to canvas โœŠ for David Bissember. โ˜‘ If there is a line at the polling place Iโ€™ll come back Monday. Then maybe walk along the Mohawk Hudson Bike ๐Ÿšฒ trail Iโ€™m thinking ๐Ÿ’ญ. I donโ€™t plan on getting an early start as I want to get as much rest as possible. ๐Ÿ˜ด

In four weeks on November 22 the sun will be setting at 4:27 pm (Standard Time),๐ŸŒ„ which is one hour, 30 minutes and 50 seconds earlier then tonight. In 2018 on that day, we had we cold weather, sunny and temperatures between 19 and 8 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 45 and 30 degrees. The record high of 70 degrees was set back in 1931.

Looking ahead, November ๐Ÿฅง is in 1 week, Buy Nothing Day ๐Ÿ›๏ธ is in 5 weeks, Saint Nicholas Day ๐ŸŽ… is in 6 weeks, Christmas ๐ŸŽ… is in 2 months, Latest Sunrise of the Winter ๐ŸŒ„๏ธ is in 10 weeks and 5 PM Sunset ๐ŸŒ† is in 3 months.
