Ross Mountain ...

On the state land along the east side, there are several clearings where there once where extra campsites developed. These areas, besides the section where the road runs right on the edge of the lake, gives you a good view of Ross Mountain, and just out of the frame, Mount Blue.

More about Garnet Lake...

Garnet Lake partially developed lakefront in Johnsburg that offers primitive tent camping along the road and several paddle in sites. The tent campsites are too high on embankment over the road to allow for drive-in use, but it is beautiful lake with ample paddling opporunties.

My Uncle used to own a white house on Ross Mt Road It had a barn and tons of bedrooms and wood burning stoves there was a big rock on the left hand side of the back of the house ( the kitchen side) and a sun dial in the middle of the front lawn. So many memories of fishing on the lake and swimming and the neighbors across the creek on garnet lake rd Great times
