April 16, 2020 Night

Good evening! Cloudy and 36 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜ There is a west breeze at 8 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Temperatures will drop below freezing at tomorrow around 1 am. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Today was another real quiet day at work, ๐Ÿ“น the Zoom meeting was called off so I didn’t shower until midday. ๐Ÿšฟ All day I’ve had some diaherea ๐Ÿ’ฉ and I have had to spend more time on the toilet ๐Ÿšฝ then I would like to admit. At least working from home didn’t have to take a sick day.

Got my gear out and ready for camping โ›บ. Not planning a big trip, just a few days away to enjoy some quiet. I’m disabling my cellphone ๐Ÿ“ฑ and I’m leaving the radio ๐Ÿ“ป home as I’m tired ๐Ÿ˜ด of hearing non stop Coronavirus coverage. Truth be told, next weekend looks better โ˜€ than this one but it could change before then and who knows the way things are going there might be travel restrictions by then. โ›” I’m hoping not, and I might even do a long weekend next week if it’s nice enough. I’m tired ๐Ÿ˜ด of being in my moldy apartment so much.

This evening I went to the store got beer, motor oil, money ๐Ÿ’ต and a few other supplies that I couldn’t get at Aldi. All of Walmart was open, they had queues at the doors but they weren’t open. Dropped the paper ๐Ÿ“„ and old clothes and boots off at the recycling center at the park and ride โ™ป. Checked the fluids, topped off the oil and did a quick visual inspection of the belts and suspension and solar system wiring. Still need to get milk ๐Ÿฎ and air up the tires in Red, that’s better to do when the tires are cold in the morning.

Most every thing is packed except for my personal gear like the toothbrush, pots and pans ๐Ÿณ I need for breakfast and the guns I didn’t want to leave overnight in the truck. If I camp where I plan there is a good backstop for shooting. ๐Ÿ”ซ Everything is closed down here – hard to practice. I also updated my fishing license ๐ŸŽฃ and I have the PDF on my phone if I get asked for it.

Spent some time cleaning in the kitchen ๐Ÿšฟ treating the cabinets for mold and scrubbing down the counters so things won’t be so gross when I get home. One of these days it’s going to get hot โ™จ and it will be important to have things as mold free as possible before the humanity peaks. Once the windows are open I’ll repaint the refrigerator which is rusty again.

It seems cleaning good with bleach kills off any RNA of Coronavirus I might have accidentally tracked in. ๐Ÿ‘พ Somehow reading ๐Ÿ“– about that 39 year old farmer in Cansastota who is fighting for his life on a ventalator๐Ÿšœ makes it a lot more real to me. Caronavirus is remarkably bad and spreading fast with farm families who are struggling a lot already. That said, closing the boat launches ๐Ÿšค and other activities seems silly and over the top. At least the Glenmont Car Wash is open so I can wash the salt off my truck after I get back – I checked tonight. ๐Ÿ‘

Tonight will have isolated snow showers before midnight. Mostly clear ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 30 degrees at 4am. Eight degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around March 28th. West wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. In 2019, we had cloudy skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 32 degrees. The record low of 21 occurred back in 1971.

Tonight will have a Waining Crescent ๐ŸŒ˜ Moon with 29% illuminated. The darkest hour is at 12:56 am, followed by dawn at 5:43 am, and sun starting to rise at 6:12 am in the east-northeast (75ยฐ) and last for 2 minutes and 59 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 36 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:50 am with sun in the east (82ยฐ). Tonight will have 10 hours and 30 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 44 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have increasing clouds โ˜, with a high of 48 degrees at 2pm. 11 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around March 25th. West wind 7 to 10 mph. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 62 degrees. The record high of 91 was set in 2002. 0.3 inches of snow fell back in 1965.โ„ Albany might break that record tomorrow depending on when the snow starts tomorrow night and if we get any tonight.

I think where I will be there won’t be a lot of snow โ›„, maybe a dusting come morning but I brought the snow shovel to be safe. The NOAA snow map shows none up there now but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a dusting when I get up there. Even if we get some the sun will make it disappear by morning most likely.

I have work until five o’clock, but maybe if the work load is light I’ll leave early and I can always work on it up at camp on Saturday. โ›บ I want to get set up fairly early as even though the days are longer now its not summer yet by any means. Supposedly it will clear by afternoon. And I’m just thinking a short leg stretcher hike on Saturday with a longer one on Sunday night where hopefully I won’t see another person. ๐Ÿšถ If I do social distancing won’t be hard.

I didn’t get my stimulus check ๐Ÿ’ต because I didn’t owe or getting anything back from the federal government this year. So I have to give them my bank information. ๐Ÿ”ข Unlike owing the state. I’ll have to do that at some point. I’m going to split it between index ๐Ÿ“‡ funds and my higher interest savings account and not touch the money for a while. I think there a lot of potential eventually for good market growth. I don’t see myself getting out of New York for at least a few more years.

In four weeks on May 14 the sun will be setting in the west-northwest (297ยฐ) at 8:10 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 31 minutes and 13 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had rain showers, cold weather partly cloudy skies later and temperatures between 48 and 40 degrees. Probably one of the coldest mid May day on record. Typically, you have temperatures between 69 and 46 degrees. The record high of 93 degrees was set back in 1900.

By then, hopefully the Coronavirus shutdown will be over ๐Ÿ‘พ but if not my hope is that it will be at least nice enough to work outside all day or even sit out at Five Rivers with the laptop or the library in a comfortable lawn chair. ๐Ÿ’บ Folks are already getting itchy about the shutdown and if the political winds shift and other states reopen they’ll be a lot of pressure to reboot things. ๐Ÿš Honestly, at that point I might still be a bit nervous about riding the bus or waiting at a busy bus stop ๐Ÿšdowntown but I am getting a bit better at washing my hands ๐Ÿ‘and getting used to wearing the bandana over my face. ๐Ÿ˜ท

Looking ahead, Flower Moon ๐ŸŒ• is in 3 weeks and Average High is 70 ๐Ÿฎ is a month away.

 Looking Out the Lean-To

April 16, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy Thursday. I bet you didn’t expect to awake to snow on the cars and roofs. Might even be more Friday night into Saturday morning for my first overnight of the year in the wilderness. Three weeks to Flower Moon ๐ŸŒ•. Partly sunny and 31 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west-northwest breeze at 8 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Chilly for mid April.

Today will be mostly sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 45 degrees at 2pm. 14 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around March 18th. Northwest wind 8 to 17 mph. Don’t usually have days that far below normal these days with the region’s climate getting warmer. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 58 degrees. The record high of 91 was set in 2012. 5.3 inches of snow fell back in 1983.โ„

Definitely think despite the sun โ˜€ I’ll be working inside today, besides getting packed for the weekend and making that trip I don’t want to have to make to Walmart for the things I couldn’t buy at Aldi’s. I have my face mask ready ๐Ÿ˜ท and I refilled my spray bottle of rubbing alcohol for when I get back to my truck. Hopefully this silliness will be over sooner than later without taking too many loved ones and friends ๐Ÿ‘ช.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:56 pm with sun having an altitude of 57.7ยฐ from the due south horizon (-13.1ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 3.8 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:01 pm with the sun in the west (279ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-northwest (285ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 7:39 pm after setting for 2 minutes and 59 seconds with dusk around 8:08 pm, which is one minute and 8 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 8:44 pm. At sunset, look for partly clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 41 degrees. There will be a west-northwest breeze at 11 mph. Today will have 13 hours and 27 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes and 44 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be mostly clear ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 29 degrees at 3am. Nine degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around March 26th. West wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Sunday, partly sunny, with a high near 58. Typical average high for the weekend is 60 degrees.

On that day in 2019, we had partly cloudy, rain showers and temperatures between 66 and 49 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 67 degrees. We hit a record high of 92 back in 1930.

Winds could gust as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with a few breaks of sun the afternoon. With the rain and wind, it will feel pretty cold. But maybe clearing up late. The high last year was 65 degrees. The record high of 77 was set in 1991. 13.3 inches of snow fell back in 2000.โ„

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:57 pm with sun having an altitude of 55.2ยฐ from the due south horizon (-15.6ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 4.2 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. One degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around April 7th. Breezy, with a west wind 16 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. In 2019, we had cloudy skies. It got down to 32 degrees. The record low of 21 occurred back in 1974.

Blustery and a bit cool but sunny this Easter Weekend on we get past Good Friday. โ˜€ Saturday, mostly sunny, with a high near 48. West wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Sunday, partly sunny, with a high near 59. Typical average high for the weekend is 56 degrees.

I am not convinced this will be a very good weekend โ˜€ despite the sun on Saturday. But I’m watching and thinking ๐Ÿ’ญ about my options carefully. It is a three day weekend so I do have a few different options but hopefully it won’t be too cold and nasty. Plus who knows how much snow they’ll have up north today.

Looking ahead, there are 4 weeks until Flower Moon ๐ŸŒ• when the sun will be setting at 8:02 pm with dusk at 8:34 pm. Above the Ravine

April 4, 2020 Night

Good evening! Mostly cloudy and 53 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜ Calm wind. The dew point is 43 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 10 pm.

It’s a nice evening, sitting out in the bed of my truck after the evening walk ๐Ÿšถ. I opened the container of Christmas ale ๐Ÿป that I got at Christmas and it’s good and 9 percent alcohol. I won’t need a sleeping pill ๐Ÿ’Š tonight after two good size mug fulls. First alcohol I’ve had since my birthday ๐ŸŽ‚ .

It turned out to be a lot more sunny โ›… and nice day then previously predicted. Walked about ten miles at Partridge Run. Started at Bradt Hollow Road and Beaver Road to Sickle Hill Road to High Point Road to the Long Path past the big swamp to a snowmobile trail that runs southerly to a clearing that runs along the property line up to Cook Hill and the newer part of Partridge Run Game Management Area then bushwhacked down to a stream and deep Ravine to Cook Hill Road to Bradt Hollow Road than took the gated southerly section that goes back to field that overlooks a hollow, North Hill in Rensselaerville and the Catskills. I also tried bushwhacking back to a large pond – actually a swamp back that way and I spotted several geese and wood duck. ๐Ÿœ Fortunately didn’t find any ticks on me when I got home but I did find one crawling on me when I was hiking.

At the end of the day I was thinking it would be a nice night to camp โ›บ overnight but I didn’t bring any food with me and had eaten my lunch already and it was getting dark. Plus I knew tonight would be a fairly cool and long night. But I was tempted to just get my hammock out, swing by one of the nearby state forests, grab some blankets and hoodie, start a small fire, ๐Ÿ”ฅ put on some music ๐ŸŽถ and then in a few hours all it a night in the hammock. But I knew by morning that I’d awake and be cold and have to try getting back to sleep ๐Ÿ˜ด until daybreak. It’s still early April and while the low in Albany is 45 degrees, it would be a fair bit colder done morning. I haven’t hung out in the hammock since autumn, I wouldn’t mind breaking it out for a good nap in the woods, especially when it gets a bit warmer, agree all two weeks until the average day is in the sixties. It’s actually a bit surprising how do far this year we haven’t had any real warm days. Maybe during the long weekend. Certainly there are some state forests in the western part of Albany County that are good for hammock camping.

Tonight will have a slight chance of showers between 11pm and midnight. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 43 degrees at 6am. 10 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around May 1st. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 25 degrees. The record low of 14 occurred back in 2016.

Tonight will have a Waxing Gibbons Moon with 88% illuminated. At 10 PM, the moon was in the south-southeast (162ยฐ) at an altitude of 60ยฐ from the horizon, some 227,975 miles away from where you are looking up from the earth. ๐Ÿš€ At the state speed limit of 55 mph, you’ll make it there by September 24th. Buckle up for safety! ๐Ÿ’บ Ursa pretty bright moon lit night. The Pink ๐ŸŒธ Moon is on Tuesday, April 7. The darkest hour is at 12:59 am, followed by dawn at 6:04 am, and sun starting to rise at 6:32 am in the east (81ยฐ) and last for 2 minutes and 56 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 43 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 7:10 am with sun in the east (88ยฐ). Tonight will have 11 hours and 4 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 50 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have a chance of showers, mainly after 4pm. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒฆ, with a high of 60 degrees at 3pm. Six degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around April 18th. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. The high last year was 42 degrees. The record high of 82 was set in 1928. 2.1 inches of snow fell back in 2019.โ„

Maybe tomorrow will turn out relatively nice like today. โ›… That said no big plans for tomorrow, just early to the laundromat and get groceries than back home. Maybe go for a walk around town, we will see or down to the park โ›ฒ. That said, between the ticks on the grass and the possibility of picking up COVID-19 from the park bench, it will be more of a walk ๐Ÿšถ there to get podcast than an extended stay. I do want to try to get the revised blog theme done and some fixes to my photo upload code.

Monday looks quite nice, ๐Ÿ˜Ž I plan to do my morning shift from my backyard and then go out to Five Rivers Environmental Education Center to save bandwidth on my employers network card and be able to use my personal laptop for downloading videos and maybe activating the new blog theme.

No certain plans for the long weekend ๐Ÿฐbut truth be told I have some ideas. Nothing in stone yet but I’m watching the forecast and if things suck Thursday night I might leave early on Good Friday. To be safe I’ll get gas and all supplies โ›ฝ before I leave to ensure that I can wash my hands well. That said I’m a bit concerned that the forecast is trending cloudy โ˜ and cooler for the Easter holiday.

In four weeks on May 2 the sun will be setting in the west-northwest (292ยฐ) at 7:57 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 31 minutes and 49 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had partly cloudy, rain showers and temperatures between 65 and 50 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 65 and 43 degrees. The record high of 90 degrees was set back in 2018.

Looking ahead, Average High is 60 ๐ŸŒผ is in 2 weeks, 8 PM Sunset ๐ŸŒ‡ is a month away, Average High is 70 ๐Ÿฎ is in 6 weeks, Memorial Day Weekend Starts ๐Ÿ•๏ธ is in 7 weeks, Last Day of Session ๐Ÿ› is in 11 weeks and Summer ๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ is in 11 weeks.

Dairies Along Clauverwie Road

April 3, 2020 10 PM Update

Good evening! Drizzle, and 47 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜” There is a north breeze at 10 mph. ๐Ÿƒ The skies will clear tomorrow around 7 pm. It’s not going to be a real great weekend.

I am sitting out back after my evening walk, ๐Ÿšถ as truth be told I’m tired as last night I didn’t take a sleeping pill ๐Ÿ’Š and laid in bed all night listening to the disturbing news ๐Ÿ“ฐ. It’s actually a pretty mild evening, but then again it’s April in the year that is kind of timeless. Watching the traffic on Delaware Avenue and you see a car go but every few minutes, traffic is really light with all the bars and things do on Friday night closed down. The Herb Alpert record I’m listening ๐Ÿ‘‚ to on my wireless headphones never gets old. That album is 56 years old now. Born 21 years before me. Too cold for spring peepers tonight

Tonight will have patchy drizzle with scattered showers. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 41 degrees at 5am. Eight degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around April 25th. North wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 30 degrees. The record low of 14 occurred back in 1954.

Honestly, I don’t want to back inside as I’m tired of being home so much. ๐Ÿก Monday and Tuesday should be nice enough that I can work outside and one of those days I’ll probably bring my laptop out to Five Rivers Environmental Education Center to work or at least download videos and podcasts. ๐Ÿธ

I am almost done on the once again revised blog theme ๐Ÿ“ท that will emphasize full screen photos with more interactive and immersive experience, fixing some long time issues with the blog. ๐Ÿ“ Learning more about the guts and the WordPress API.

Tonight will have a Waxing Gibbous ๐ŸŒ” Moon with 79% illuminated. At 9 PM, the moon was in the south-southeast (157ยฐ) at an altitude of 64ยฐ from the horizon, some 229,800 miles away from where you are looking up from the earth. ๐Ÿš€ At the state speed limit of 55 mph, you’ll make it there by September 25th. Buckle up for safety! ๐Ÿ’บ The Pink ๐ŸŒธ Moon is on Tuesday, April 7. The darkest hour is at 12:59 am, followed by dawn at 6:06 am, and sun starting to rise at 6:34 am in the east (82ยฐ) and last for 2 minutes and 56 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 44 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 7:11 am with sun in the east (88ยฐ). Tonight will have 11 hours and 6 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 51 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒฅ, with a high of 57 degrees at 3pm. Four degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around April 12th. North wind around 6 mph. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 47 degrees. The record high of 79 was set in 1950. 4.3 inches of snow fell back in 2016.โ„

The things were looking better for the weather this weekend โ˜ but the storm on the coast has lingered around. I might do Schodack Island State Park and Aldi’s again although I have no reason of need to go into the city tomorrow. ๐Ÿ I like the small size of Aldi which is good when you want to get in and out during a pandemic. They’re also very good quality food despite all being those odd store brands. Or maybe I’ll explore the Papsacani Island or whatever it’s called, that bird sanctuary on the river tomorrow and sit down by the river for a while, ๐Ÿฆ hopefully alone where I can enjoy some solitude by the river. Ticks might be bad, no a good time to get Lyme disease ๐Ÿœ, although I got a mailing this weekend announcing on April 1st, my insurance covers telemedicine for free, although not real helpful ๐Ÿ˜ท without internet access.

Originally was thinking about hiking several miles of dirt road up at Partridge Run and doing some fishing in Rennselearville but not if the weather is crap ๐ŸŽฃ even though it would be better fishing. But hiking on dreary days can be dreary but I could change my mind. Walking those dirt roads not likely to see or run into many people. ๐Ÿšถ Of course with all this paranoia over Coronavirus I probably shouldn’t publicly announce I’m going to be anywhere in the wilderness due to the risk of internet shaming (you left your moldy apartment!), even though I’ve been incredibly socially isolated for the past three weeks ๐Ÿ‘ค and have had minimal human contact, always stepping far off the trail when I pass people.

That said I’m watching the forecast slide downhill for next weekend โ˜ and I’m watching the weather but I’m not sure if I’ll be spending some nights in the wilderness or not. โ›บ If I do, it might be close to home or it might not be. I have a multitude of ideas away from people for a few nights in pure wilderness. ๐Ÿ‘ฅI don’t plan to use any public accommodation after I leave home, so no risk of picking up the bug ๐Ÿ› and not being able to wash it away. I’m not going to tell anybody when I’m leaving or returning, or where or if I’m going. I’ll pull the battery from my phone so no one can find me until I return. I’ll park where I can’t be seen from the road. I can take care of myself, live a good life out in the wilderness without being the governments’ bitch. ๐Ÿถ Have a good time, mind my own business. It’s the safest thing to do in an era of such bigotry by those who have adopted the mindset of government minders. Everybody wants to be a Chinese Uncle Police officer ๐Ÿ‘ฎ these days. Or maybe I won’t go anywhere at all. I don’t have to post about it on the internet for sure. ๐Ÿ™Š Don’t tread on me.

I am so tempted to create a Facebook logo that says, “Duck You, I hope you die from Coronavirus” ๐Ÿ‘พin response to all the social distancing memes and frames. I know that’s not very nice. But I think the self appointed Uncle Police are so obnoxious. Its not like many public accommodations are open anymore that you can spread the virus at any more but it sure feels good to the self appointed Uncle Police ๐Ÿšจ on Facebook to shame people wherever they can. I’m not rushing to the store any more than absolutely necessary (once a week) and trying to stay at least 20 feet away from others on the street or trail – I apply rubbing alcohol to my hands on my truck ๐Ÿ‘ and wash good as soon as I’m home. And I pray. ๐Ÿ™But not to the God of some self appointed health minister in the church โ›ช of the government. My libertarianism is starting to show through.

I actually liked a promote page about North Idaho living from a real estate company today. I bet parts of Idaho are really nice and wild, ๐Ÿบ but the state is also starting to get over developed by refugees from California. I do follow pig farmer ๐Ÿฝ North Country Off Grid (he doesn’t even have a small solar electricity system or didn’t until recent) and that other Yak Farmer from Idaho. The issues that North Country off grid has from suburbanites developing neighboring lands makes me think twice but then again the wrong kind of neighbors moving in can be a problem anywhere. I don’t know, only a few more years in New York and then I’ll make the jump and move out west or maybe to the Ozarks. ๐Ÿšœ I’ve heard a lot good things about rural Tennessee and while West Virginia is beautiful, there is something quite alarming about that state’s coal fueled politics. ๐Ÿญ Every buck saved today is one closer to a better tomorrow. Time goes by quickly โณand moving day will you know it. I “can’t wait” but good things happen to those who wait, so I will wait doing the best I can every day to improve my own life๐Ÿ‘.

In four weeks on May 1 (which is May Day) the sun will be setting in the west-northwest (292ยฐ) at 7:55 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 31 minutes and 49 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had cloudy, rain showers and temperatures between 56 and 42 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 65 and 43 degrees. The record high of 86 degrees was set back in 2001.

Looking ahead, Good Friday โœ๏ธ is in 1 week, May ๐Ÿ•Š is in 4 weeks, 8:30 PM Sunset ๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ is in 9 weeks, and Election Day 2020 ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ is in 7 months.

Cracks in Sunset Rock

April 3, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Yeah, it’s Friday! Next Friday is Good Friday โœ๏ธ. Pouring and 41 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜” There is a north-northwest breeze at 11 mph. ๐Ÿƒ.

I am starting to think tomorrow is going to be a really nice day. โ˜€ Maybe tomorrow I should plan to get out and get some fresh air. I am thinking about maybe a long stroll around the back part of Partridge Run mostly on the dirt roads as the trails are likely to be quite wet. ๐Ÿšถ

April 2, 2020 Night

Good evening! Rain and drizzle and 46 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜” There is a north-northwest breeze at 15 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The skies will clear Saturday around 3 pm.

With the rain I decided it wasn’t a good night for my walk ๐Ÿšถ. Not only is it cold and wet its kind of dangerous crossing the road on such a poor visibility night, although traffic is a lot less. I did ride the exercise bike ๐Ÿšฒ for a while today watching one of the YouTube videos I downloaded yesterday.

Other than that I really quiet day at work. ๐Ÿ’ผ I wish I was busier at times, it’s really boring ๐Ÿ’ค and kind of isolating to be home alone with no internet besides my phone and just day after day of rain โ˜”. I guess I could have gone for a walk earlier but it was pretty cloudy and gray.

Been actively working on a new theme for the blog ๐Ÿ“ that will give it a new look and feel. While I just rewrote a big portion of the code a few months back I’m still not happy with what I got – I want a more immersive design that better tells my story. Plus be more efficient and better able to fit the growing types of content I’ve been generating lately.

At least the weekend forecast looks better, especially Sunday. โ˜€ Probably go back out to Patridge Run and hike for most of the day Sunday. Then I’m still thinking about heading up to the Adirondacks on next Thursday through Easter. ๐Ÿฐ I just need to get away. Unless of course it looks like it will snow or rain all next weekend. I’ll see. I’m just so tired of being home and visiting the same old parks all the time.
