November jobs report is a bust with only 210,000 jobs added : NPR

Many observers now think the central bank may raise interest rates earlier than expected next year, in an effort to keep a lid on rising prices.

Up until now, the Fed has been willing to tolerate somewhat higher inflation in hopes of fostering full employment. But as the jobs recovery drags on, Powell appears to be rethinking that balancing act.

"To get back to the kind of great labor market we had before the pandemic, we're going to need a long expansion," Powell said. "To get that, we're going to need price stability. And in a sense, the risk of persistent high inflation is also a major risk to getting back to such a labor market."

Good Morning – December 3, 2021

Good morning! Yeah, it’s Blustery Friday! 🌬

You can definitely hear the wind whipping around outside this morning. It’s really roaring for sure at times.
Cloudy, a few flurries and 32 degrees in Delmar, NY. ❄ Breezy, ️21 mph breeze from the west-northwest 🌬 with gusts up to 32 mph 💨💨💨. The current wind chill is 20. Things will start to thaw out at around 8 am. 🌡️

Cold start to the morning but it seems like it’s less blustery now. 🌬Hopefully though it will be sunnier later on – that is the last few hours while I’m at work before it gets dark out and I’m walking 🚶 home in the dark. Simon and Garfunkel weren’t wrong when they sung about the deep and dark December.

Last night was fun, 🍽️ thought I was so uncomfortable being in a busy restaurant without a mask on. 😷 I’m vaccinated but it seems like COVID-19 is getting bad again. I am going to see if they have the vaccine clinic today so I can get my booster at the Concourse. 💉 If not, I might walk 🚶 down to CVS. I worry a bit about them running out of the booster, especially if things get all werid again.
