Just another balmy night. I’m actually hoping for rain as it will help to lower the temperature. The skies will clear tomorrow around noontime.

I sat out back for a while with the fan running off my truck but then some rain drops started to fall 💦and honestly I prefer to be inside where I could sit by my big fan with nothing more than my boxers.👙 I had some orange juice, 🍊so I’m sure my blood sugar is plenty high for a good night’s sleep. I went down to the library for a bit, which was fairly cool although not frigid, 📚 then got milk at Stewart’s. They didn’t have one percent so I ended up getting skim. Despite the heat I’m kind of enjoying my time in Delmar, as a week or so from now I’ll be on the road for work. But it’s good to get out of town for a bit.

I’m actually more concerned about the weather on Saturday rather than Sunday, as that’s the day I want to kayak Cedar River Flow. 🚣 I don’t want a wash out on Sunday and I would definitely prefer sun but my focus is on having a nice Saturday. Sunday is more about taking a nice little hike, and relaxing in the plains. ⛺ I really want a campsite with an open canopy so I’ll compromise in all other ways to make that happen. I doubt I’ll get Campsite 56 that I like.

After I get back from the Labor Day Weekend it will be crunch time at work, and I expect to be on the road for the next nine weeks.🎠 But November will come around before you know it and I will have my road trip and be enjoying those beautiful mid November days. ⛺ I actually find November is one of my favorite months of the year to camp. Werid but I like those deep blue skies,🌌 the woods without the leaves, the various hunting seasons, and the long nights.
