By the 1960s with the completion of the Rays Hill Tunnel Bypass on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, much of Breezewood would remain similar to what it is today, some fifty plus years later.

Before you know it you’ll be dumping shredded carrots into your bread dough and pancake batter. Then you can’t have soup or stew without carrots and of course you need carrots for snacking on and dipping in avocados.

Bridge across the Long Run in Douglas. Right before the Douglas Falls and the long drop into the valley along the old Blackwater Canyon Railroad Grade.
