Cold Wet, Late March Morning

Good Morning! A very cold and wet Friday morning, last one in March.

Glad I am not in the woods. The good news is it’s not snow. Not for a lack of trying by the weather gods, but because there simply is not enough cold left in the system to continue snowing. That said, I think they got snow in the mountains, and they might get some more this weekend.

It looks like I will end up working at least part of the weekend, but I don’t care that much as it’s going to be rainy. I kind of like working on weekends, because there is no traffic downtown, and things tend to be a lot quieter and generally nice on weekends. I am hoping the rainy weather will lead to improved conditions come later in April when I hope to be traveling and outΒ  camping.

March showers… bring April mud and no burn bans!

Beyond Freezing

One week from today — Wednesday, April 2nd — the average low temperature in Albany is 32.2 F. The next time we have an average low below freezing is November 15, an average low temperature of 31.8 F.

First Day of Spring

Good Morning. Happy First Day of Spring. It’s a Thursday. A rainy one at that, but supposedly the rain is going to clear out before late. There was some sleet and ice last night, but now it’s warmed back up. At least for a while we won’t have to be dealing with open burning bans or wild fire risks. I kind of hope spring remains wet.
