When Stanley Kubrick released Dr. Strangelove in 1964, Vera Lynn's We'll Meet Again was over two decades old, having come out at the beginning of World War II. Vera Lynn lived until age 103, dying June 18, 2020.

Camping Up at Perkins Clearing

I spent five nights camping up at Mason Lake then Perkins Clearing during the Memorial Day Weekend, using my phone and the Speculator Library for Internet. It was fun to get away for one of several long weekends during the 2020 Coronavirus Panademic when all work was remote work.

Camping on East Branch – May 2nd

During the first week of May 2020 I returned to the East Branch to do some camping and enjoying of the warm weather before the black flies returned.

Beautiful evening at the off grid cabin – bacon pot pie for supper.

Another beautiful spring evening here at the cabin. Found an old two-man crosscut saw that needs to be restored but I thought I'd try it out first. Will I give up my Husqvarna? And after some hard work you gotta eat right? Tonight it's everybody's favorite; bacon pot pie.

I always like checking out his way of living.

Snow Falling on April 19, 2020

While it wasn't a big snow storm, there was definitely some white falling from the sky I was camping up along the East Branch on Saturday morning. They got even more snow down in the Catskills.
