Schuyler County

Schuyler County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2010 census, the population was 18,343. The county seat is Watkins Glen. Schuyler County is in the western part of New York State, west of Ithaca at the south end of Seneca Lake. The Finger Lakes National Forest is in the north part of the county.

Fermented

The wood chips on the Connecticut Hill Forest Demonstration Trail were flooded due to beaver damage, and they really were pungent, smelling a lot like slightly sour silage.
