Sacandaga River

Some places have trolls that hang out under bridges. Apparently, in Speculator this mink does.

When you get to the bridge over Stewart Creek, the area opens up to a wide marshy creek with expansive views.

Your supposed to pull out before you get to these in your kayak. Right above this part of the Sacanadaga River looks like splendid paddling.

Kind of brown this time of year, but also water levels are high enough now that one doesn't have to worry about getting a boat stuck here.

Rift Hill looks a lot different in morning light in April then it does in May or June, much less September or early October.

Still a lot of grays left in the landscape, but with spring coming closer I am sure things will rapidly green up.
