One thing that bothers me a lot is how people are dismissive of other’s views and values. People who are different then you aren’t evil or ignorant or bought off by big money. In contrast, most people are thinking individuals, weighing the pros and cons of policies and how they will affect their own lives if implemented.

I think the problem is special interest groups having too much clout in Albany and Washington, ramming radical social policies on abortion, gays, and guns down folks throats.

If politicians focused on things people actually cared about -- like answering constituent calls, fixing potholes, improving mass-transit, and cracking down on unscrupulous used car dealers, then they would be a lot more popular.

I think the most popular politicians in our state and country, are those who listen to their constituents and focus on the little things that really matter, and not the issues that the special interests groups claim that are important.
