New York State

New York is a state in the Northeastern region of the United States. New York is the 27th-most extensive, the 3rd-most populous, and the 7th-most densely populated of the 50 United States. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south, and by Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border with Rhode Island east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Ontario to the west and north, and Quebec to the north. The state of New York is often referred to as New York State to distinguish it from New York City.

The Cowsills – Indian Lake

By this point I should almost be in Indian Lake, then one mile north to where Cedar River Road splits off of NY 30 by the cemetery ...

Next year, the Cowsills song that made Indian Lake in the Adirondacks famous turns 50 years old. While most of the places referenced in this song are made up, the song's author, Tony Romano, stayed at Beeches Cottages on Indian Lake, which was the inspiration for the song.

First Attempt Using Coleman Oven

The Coleman oven worked well making dinner last night. This was a first attempt to see how the heat works, I am thinking I will try to make more exotic things like brownies and pizza the next time I camp.
