Rattlesnake Hill WMA

The Rattlesnake Hill Wildlife Management Area is a 5,100 acre upland tract, situated approximately eight miles west of Dansville, New York. Roughly two-thirds of the area lies in southern Livingston County, while the remaining third lies in northern Allegany County. The tract was purchased in the 1930’s under the Federal Resettlement Administration and is one of several such areas turned over to DEC for development as a wildlife management area.

The area is appropriately named after the Timber Rattlesnake, which may be occasionally found in the more remote sections of the “Hill”.

The area offers an interesting blend of upland habitats such as mature woodland, overgrown fields, conifer plantations, old growth apple orchards and open meadows.

The area is inhabited by a variety of game species and is open to public hunting. The white-tailed deer, wild turkey, ruffed grouse, grey squirrel, cottontail rabbit and woodcock are found on the area. An occasional snowshoe hare may be observed adjacent to thick creek bottom brush or conifer plantation habitats.

A number of small marsh units have been developed and provide limited hunting for waterfowl. Some of the area’s furbearing species such as mink, beaver and raccoon may be occasionally viewed at these marsh units.

The Hump Day before Memorial Day Weekend, of course ๐Ÿช

Get away day for the legislature so I’ll be heading home at five o’clock again though the umbrella might be a good idea even if the thunderstorms are likely to be earlier this afternoon and an umbrella is little use in blustery downtown.

Good morning! Third gear, a lean right. Mostly cloudy and 55 degrees in Delmar, NY. ๐ŸŒฅ There is a south-southeast breeze at 7 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 45 degrees.

I’m up and going and I actually got to bed ๐Ÿ› only a little after nine 9โƒฃ last night but I woke up for a while and now my ass is dragging a bit but I’m going. I guess I need to eat more kale, lol. ๐Ÿฅ—I haven’t decided yet between oatmeal or heated oatmeal – banana ๐ŸŒ pancakes for breakfast, both are good options.

I was food journaling yesterday and while I’m doing good on most of the vitamins and fiber, ๐Ÿ while keeping calories and fats within healthy levels, I’m now deficient on calcium and Vitamin D. The later is less of a problem in the summer with the sun โ˜€ but I should go back to drinking a glass of skim milk ๐Ÿฅ› daily. I like dairy and could easily drink a half gallon a day but that’s way too much calories. Eating too much sugar, mostly from fresh or frozen fruit snacking throughout the day.

Halfway through the week at least by afternoon and no need to dress up the rest of week ๐Ÿ•ด๏ธ which is good as I like walking down to the Park and Ride and not having to iron my shirts. I’m not going to be able to visit John this weekend but I still don’t think it’s a good weekend to go up north despite the rapidly improving forecast.

Today will have a slight chance of showers before 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1pm and 3pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3pm. Increasing clouds ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ‘‰ ๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ, with a high of 76 degrees at 1pm. Two degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around June 1st. Maximum dew point of 58 at 2pm. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning, remaining cloudy in the afternoon. The high last year was 72 degrees. The record high of 92 was set in 1964.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:53 pm with sun having an altitude of 68.1ยฐ from the due south horizon (-2.7ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.4 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:39 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (293ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ

I got more cranberry beans soaking in the fridge today, and plan to cook a seperate pot of brown rice ๐Ÿš and lentils as I’m almost out again after today’s lunch. Probably tomorrow before work. ๐Ÿฒ Beans are a great source of protein and fiber.

The sunset is in the west-northwest (300ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:20 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 19 seconds with dusk around 8:52 pm, which is 57 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At dusk you’ll see the First Quarter ๐ŸŒ“ Moon in the west (263ยฐ) at an altitude of 43ยฐ from the horizon, 252,046 miles away. ๐Ÿš€ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:35 pm. At sunset, look for rain ๐ŸŒง and temperatures around 56 degrees. The dew point will be 48 degrees. Breezy, 16 mph breeze โ›… from the north-northeast. Today will have 14 hours and 57 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 43 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm, then a slight chance of showers between 8pm and 9pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 40 degrees at 6am. 11 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around April 24th. North wind 9 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. In 2022, we had mostly clear skies. It got down to 55 degrees. The record low of 30 occurred back in 1956.

A picture perfect Memorial Day Weekend on tap. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Saturday, sunny, with a high near 78. Maximum dew point of 51 at 8pm. Sunday, mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Maximum dew point of 55 at 8pm. Memorial Day, sunny and a high of 87. Summer like. Typical average high for weekend is 74 degrees.

While I’m not going to be able to see John this weekend and I’m not sure about the work load, ๐Ÿ“ I am leaning towards hammock camping really primatively Saturday through Monday, two nights. โ›บ That means candles for light, sleep in the hammock, especially if I can get a bug net, cooking over an open fire. ๐Ÿ”ฅ I can prepare and proportion out food in advance so I don’t have to be carrying in and out food after every meal ๐Ÿด. Going to be the first summer like weekend of the year.

Looking ahead, there are 4 weeks until Summer ๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 8:38 pm with dusk at 9:11 pm. On that day in 2022, we had partly cloudy, rain showers and temperatures between 70 and 51 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 81 degrees. We hit a record high of 97 back in 1938.

 State Workers

To ensure that I don’t get soaked I should bring an umbrella to work โ˜”

It pretty much guarantees that any day that I bring an umbrella to work it won’t rain.

Good morning! Happy Tuesday. Second gear, eleven session days left, tonight’s the LCA show and tomorrow is get away day. Two more weeks after that with those oversized dress shirts. I’ll figure out January when it comes. Partly sunny and 52 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜€ There is a south breeze at 7 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 41 degrees.

I’m up and moving, ๐Ÿšถ but maybe not as early as I should be. With the longer days it’s difficult to be in bed ๐Ÿ› by nine o’clock and it becomes closer to ten many nights. ๐Ÿ•’ I did stay in bed a little after six this miles. But part of it was that I was out walking until fairly late at the park, getting in 8.3 miles as I started late after spending an hour trying to figure out how to reassemble the spokes on my bicycle ๐Ÿšฒ wheel. It shouldn’t be so hard but to be fair I was warned that trueing a wheel is more challenging then one might think. But that’s really my main obstacle at this point to getting the bicycle back on the road.

I’m not going to mess around with it again until the weekend ๐ŸšŒ as I doubt I’ll be out at five again tonight, as it’s the LCA show tonight but I’m thinking probably be home by 6:45 as the show is at seven and I’m sure they’ll want to be done but maybe not by five with so few days remaining. I could he wrong. But I’m not ready for the frustration until the weekend and want to confront it with a fresh mind after some further internet research. ๐Ÿ”Ž

Reheating quiche this morning ๐Ÿฅง with some added spinach and cold black coffee โ˜•. That cream of wheat ๐ŸŒพ yesterday was good, it actually has a surprisingly good nutrition profile when you study the label ๐Ÿ”– when you add blackberries ๐Ÿ–ค for extra fiber. Doesn’t have quite the staying power of eggs and spinach though as it’s more carbs and less protein.

Today will have isolated showers after 3pm. Mostly sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 75 degrees at 3pm. Two degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 28th. Maximum dew point of 53 at 1pm. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. The high last year was 69 degrees. The record high of 93 was set in 1964.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:53 pm with sun having an altitude of 67.9ยฐ from the due south horizon (-2.9ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.4 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:38 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (293ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-northwest (300ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:19 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 19 seconds with dusk around 8:51 pm, which is 58 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At dusk you’ll see the First Quarter ๐ŸŒ“ Moon in the west (274ยฐ) at an altitude of 36ยฐ from the horizon, 251,168 miles away. ๐Ÿš€ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:34 pm. At sunset, look for partly clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 69 degrees. The dew point will be 52 degrees. There will be a south breeze at 10 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 55 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 46 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 51 degrees at 5am. Typical for tonight. Maximum dew point of 53 at 7pm. South wind 8 to 11 mph. In 2022, we had mostly clear skies. It got down to 50 degrees. The record low of 29 occurred back in 1963.

A picture perfect Memorial day Weekend on tap. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Saturday, mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Maximum dew point of 50 at 9pm. Sunday, mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Maximum dew point of 52 at 8pm. Typical average high for the weekend is 74 degrees.

Sounds great for heading out of town ๐Ÿก but I’ll likely just stay home or at least not head too far from town. Maybe a quick overnight or two. There is just so much to do and I’d rather wait for June when I can be totally off the grid for the weekend and no worries about work. Juneteenth Weekend is in three weeks.

Looking ahead, there are 4 weeks until Primary Day ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 8:38 pm with dusk at 9:11 pm. I have no idea who is even on the ballot but I should probably plan on early voting as they moved my polling place father away down to the park. On that day in 2022, we had mostly sunny and temperatures between 82 and 47 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 81 degrees. We hit a record high of 97 back in 1953.

Spring Is In The Air

As the transit advertising used to say before the pandemic, Green Means Go. ๐Ÿšฆ

Monday, Monday. Hitting the go button is always difficult after a busy weekend. And so it comes around again as it always does. The one upside is a we are a week closer to summer and session wrapping up, and it’s not a election year.

Good morning! Monday’s come back around again. Only two more session weeks after today. Mostly sunny with gray to the west from the wildfire smoke and 51 degrees in Delmar for the morning walk. โ˜€ Calm wind. The dew point is 49 degrees.

That weekend came and went quite quickly ๐Ÿ˜ฒ but I rammed quite a bit in it. Yesterday I hiked out to Five Rivers in the morning, hiked Bennett Hill in the evening and visited my parents mid afternoon. Didn’t do any work yesterday, though I did a much needed mopping of the kitchen floor ๐Ÿงน and cleaned the bathtub and toilet. ๐Ÿ› The kitchen floor was muddy from the last time I was out camping, it really needed a good scrub.

I decided to get cream of wheat, aka enriched farina for breakfast ๐Ÿฅฃ this morning. It’s not a whole grain so it lacks a lot of fiber but I’ll pare with blackberries for a good breakfast followed by some celery this morning and make sure lunch has a lot of kale included. ๐Ÿ˜‹ Tomorrow reheat quiche / eggs, adding extra spinach. Fiber, its what fills you up. Packed brown rice – red lentils, kale, yellow and red peppers, finger hot peppers, spinach and tomatoes for lunch, then packed a dinner of

Today will be mostly sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 74 degrees at 5pm. One degree above normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 24th. Maximum dew point of 49 at 6am. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the afternoon. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning, which became thunderstorm by afternoon. It was sticky. The high last year was 90 degrees. The record high of 97 was set in 1911.

Seasonably warm for this part of May ๐ŸŒท but we’ve had relatively few really warm days this month so far this year. Despite the building El Niño strength it seems like some models are suggesting this could be a relatively mild summer. ๐Ÿ– Started out that way for sure.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:53 pm with sun having an altitude of 67.7° from the due south horizon (-3.1° vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.5 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:37 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (292°). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-northwest (299°) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:18 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 18 seconds with dusk around 8:50 pm, which is 58 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At dusk you’ll see the Waxing Crescent ๐ŸŒ’ Moon in the west-northwest (282°) at an altitude of 28° from the horizon, 249,674 miles away. ๐Ÿš€ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:33 pm. At sunset, look for partly clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 66 degrees. The dew point will be 47 degrees. There will be a north-northeast breeze at 6 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 53 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 48 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy ๐ŸŒค, with a low of 50 degrees at 5am. Typical for tonight. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. In 2022, we had mostly clear skies. It got down to 51 degrees. The record low of 36 occurred back in 1967.

Memorial Day Weekend forecast has improved. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Saturday, a chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Maximum dew point of 48 at 7pm. Sunday, a chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 75. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Maximum dew point of 50 at 8pm. Partly sunny for Memorial Day, 78. Typical average high for the weekend is 74 degrees.

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until 8:30 PM Sunset ๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 8:30 pm with dusk at 9:03 pm. On that day in 2022, we had mostly sunny and temperatures between 77 and 47 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 77 degrees. We hit a record high of 97 back in 1925.

 Spring Is Late

Honest I’m recovering from the Lupine Festival ๐Ÿฆ‹

I really tried to jam as much as possible in my Saturday as possible walking 9.8 miles, tabling for six hours, getting soaked and my camera lens fogged over for a hike off the Madison Avenue and then working about four hours as things have been super busy yesterday with work with the legislative session wrapping up.

Good morning! Happy Sunday. Partly cloudy and 52 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ›… There is a west-northwest breeze at 9 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 47 degrees. The skies will clear around 11 am.

I’m finally out walking ๐Ÿšถ at 8:30 this morning. Heading out to Meads Lane ๐Ÿฎ and ultimately Five Rivers Environmental Education Center ๐Ÿฆ come mid morning. Oatmeal and banana ๐ŸŒ pancakes ๐Ÿฅž topped with blueberries which I’ve been delaying too long as they are so good. Blueberries do kind of spike your blood sugar but it’s fine.

Today will start out cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny โ˜, with a high of 72 degrees at 4pm. One degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 19th. Maximum dew point of 50 at 1pm. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. It was very sticky. The high last year was 91 degrees. The record high of 92 was set in 1941. There was a dusting of snow in 1895.โ„

I figure the first stop is going to be Van Dyke Preserve ๐Ÿธ then maybe I’ll head over to Five Rivers to poke around there for a while. The home for lunch. ๐Ÿฒ Cooked a lot of cranberry beans up and plan to have them over the coming days with rice, the hot peppers I bought yesterday and other meals. ๐ŸดMaybe over done that jalapeรฑo pepper ๐ŸŒถ๏ธyesterday with the salmon and rice and kale but it was good. ๐Ÿ  Then out to the folks house ๐Ÿก for Sunday dinner. Maybe after which I’ll hike Bennett Hill before heading home and bed. ๐Ÿ›

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:53 pm with sun having an altitude of 67.5ยฐ from the due south horizon (-3.3ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.5 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:36 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (292ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-northwest (299ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:17 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 18 seconds with dusk around 8:49 pm, which is 59 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At dusk you’ll see the Waxing Crescent ๐ŸŒ’ Moon in the west-northwest (290ยฐ) at an altitude of 20ยฐ from the horizon, 247,641 miles away. ๐Ÿš€ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:32 pm. At sunset, look for mostly clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 65 degrees. The dew point will be 50 degrees. There will be a northwest breeze at 7 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 52 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 51 seconds over yesterday.

Three day session this week, ๐Ÿข then two casual dress days at work. Could be another busy working weekend, but now the weekend forecast doesn’t look great. I’m thinking if there is one nice night during the long weekend it would be good to hammock camp โ›บ in the woods and then maybe visit John Wolcott another day. Finally got the spokes in for my bike ๐Ÿšฒ so I’m hopeful if the install goes well I’ll be close to getting it back on the road soon. Maybe if all goes well I will be able to ride my bicycle to my physical ๐Ÿง‘โ€โš•๏ธa week from Tuesday.

Tonight will be mostly clear ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 48 degrees at 5am. Two degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around May 16th. Northwest wind around 7 mph. In 2022, we had mostly clear skies. It was very sticky. It got down to 59 degrees. The record low of 33 occurred back in 2002.

Looking ahead, there are 3 weeks until the first Sunday of the Gas Up ๐Ÿšœ โ›ฝ when the sun will be setting at 8:34 pm with dusk at 9:07 pm. On that day in 2022, we had partly sunny and temperatures between 78 and 50 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 78 degrees. We hit a record high of 94 back in 1947.

Dogwood

Happy Lupine Festival Day! ๐Ÿฆ‹

Out walking this morning right at six o’clock and then there are more Committee Agendas and legislation to review for work while eating breakfast and sipping coffee out back before tabling a good portion of the day the Lupine Festival for Save the Pine Bush. Going to try to find time to walk 8 miles today in between the rain drops, though I doubt I’ll melt.

Good morning! Happy Saturday. Finally the weekend! But the work never stops until some time after June 10th or so I tell myself. Cloudy and 54 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜ There is a south-southeast breeze at 8 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Not so cold this morning for the walk ๐Ÿšถ. The dew point is 49 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 3 am.

I was up pretty early this morning ๐ŸŒ… but then again this time of year the sun rise is early. Stumbled around a bit but now I’m going again and out walking ๐Ÿšถ. I figured walk first then breakfast ๐Ÿณ which will be eggs, a shit ton of spinach along with orange and red peppers and onions and probably tomatoes ๐Ÿ… as you can’t forget them.

Today will have showers likely, mainly after 5pm. Cloudy ๐ŸŒฆ, with a high of 69 degrees at 1pm. Four degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 9th. Maximum dew point of 59 at 6pm. South wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Okay, New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with a few breaks of sun the afternoon. The high last year was 79 degrees. The record high of 91 was set in 1962.

So yes a busy Saturday ahead. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Lots of things to do. One thing I can ๐Ÿฅซ check off my list โ˜‘ is I ended up grocery shopping ๐Ÿ›’ last night rather than Sunday. I wanted to get some more apples ๐Ÿ and I noticed the store was freshly stocked so I figured get it done. That way I’ll be down by the end of the week next week and can go shopping again if I decide to head out of town to camp โ›บ. I don’t know though with the best campsites likely taken and the black flies. ๐Ÿœ Plus I told John whose wife is sick this weekend I would probably come up next weekend. Still waiting on parts for my bicycle ๐Ÿšฒ, I don’t see myself wrenching it this weekend.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 12:53 pm with sun having an altitude of 67.3ยฐ from the due south horizon (-3.5ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.5 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:35 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (292ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ

I got cranberry beans soaking in the refrigerator today, ๐ŸฒI plan to cook them either tonight or tomorrow to add to meals throughout the week. Salmon with rice, kale, onions and peppers for dinner tonight. ๐Ÿ

The sunset is in the west-northwest (299ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:16 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 17 seconds with dusk around 8:48 pm, which is one minute later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At dusk you’ll see the Waxing Crescent ๐ŸŒ’ Moon in the west-northwest (296ยฐ) at an altitude of 10ยฐ from the horizon, 245,175 miles away. ๐Ÿš€ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:30 pm. At sunset, look for rain ๐ŸŒง and temperatures around 65 degrees. The dew point will be 60 degrees. There will be a south-southeast breeze at 7 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 50 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 53 seconds over yesterday.

Last night twice the express bus ๐Ÿšhad to pull over on the shoulder of the road because the battery box door kept opening up. Both on Interstate 787 and the Delmar bypass. Poor driver had to get out on the shoulder with racing traffic going by and try to secure it. The second time, a CDTA supervisor in his personal vehicle saw the breakdown and stopped by. One of the passengers joked with only three passengers he could have just given us a ride home ๐Ÿก. Friday usually is very light on the bus, a lot of people work from home or like me often head out of town.

I think the Voorheesville bus hasn’t rebuilt it’s ridership enough, I bet come mid June it will be back to starting and ending at the Park and Ride. ๐Ÿš It’s tough in the era of hybrid work and work from home. I’m okay with that, as I like the walk especially on non session days and it will be more timely โŒš as the driver for the 7:30 run will dead head back and do the 8:30 run downtown and the same with me 4 pm and 5 pm route. While drivers can always hit traffic on Southern Boulevard or 787, with that dead head the layover is long enough to avoid most delays unlike running a city route before. โ˜บ

Tonight will have showers, mainly before 2am. ๐ŸŒง Low of 50 degrees at 5am. One degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around May 19th. South wind around 7 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. In 2022, we had cloudy skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It became sticky as the night progressed. It got down to 65 degrees. The record low of 32 occurred back in 1949.

I keep watching as the forecast for Memorial Day Weekend ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ gets warmer and sunnier but I’m afraid I’ll have to work. Maybe my best plan remains to hammock camp โ›บ a night or two quite primatively locally. I’ll figure it out as those days get closer. I’m just really hoping for a nice Juneteenth Weekend at the Potholers and House Pond Campsite. It could rain though. Summer is not done yet! Though only 105 days remain until the Labor Day Weekend.

One month ๐Ÿ“… from now will be Primary Day ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 8:38 pm with dusk at 9:11 pm. I’m not sure whose on the ballot locally but I could check at the county board of elections website. I will want to Early Vote because they moved my Election Day site to the Town Park which isn’t convenient for me when I’m busy on Election Day.
