The steep slope in front of it is Shultes Road, which later in day would be proven to be covered with deep snow and ice.

The depth of the snow made it really tough going. It literally took like 45 minutes to go a 1/2 mile, on a relatively flat trail that normally I could have hiked in 15 minutes or so.

At least one can see the parking area from here. There was something so beautiful looking out at this rural road, I used to so frequently visit, but I do not go up to Partridge Run as much as I used to as a younger child, when I lived not so far away in Westerlo.
