Delmar is a hamlet in the Town of Bethlehem, in Albany County, New York, United States. It is a suburb of the neighboring city of Albany. The community is bisected by NY Route 443 (Delaware Avenue), a major thoroughfare, main street, and route to Albany.
A census-designated place (CDP) has been established since 1980 by the U.S. Census Bureau for tabulating the population of what the census has defined as the boundaries of the urbanized area in and around Delmar. The population was 8,292 at the 2000 census, but it was not included as a CDP in the 2010 census.

Still been looking at the candidates but I’ve lately begin to start to like Hillary Clinton. I’m not crazy about all her political positions but she seems like a good basic liberal, not too exciting. Probably the lesson I learned most this weekend is the beauty and enjoyment of things local. Getting out and walking to places can show you much missed by motoring. Local state forests also have a lot to offer. No need to drive am hour and a half every time you seek an adventure. It’s nice sometimes to leave your car parked for a week and hoof it around or take a bus everywhere. Walking is good for you.
Tomorrow starts a new work week. But I think it will be a good productive one, and heck Tuesday evening is payday. And we get one more day closer to the time change and nicer spring weather. So I’m ready for it. I hope you had a good weekend. I certainly did. Good night. Sleep well!

It was a nice hike over to Five Rivers Environmental Education Center. It was gray and got cloudy as the day progressed but I saw a lot of wildlife including a red-headed woodpecker, several birds, many squirrels, and a mink with a chipmunk in his mouth slithering across the ice. Unfortunately, my camera didn’t have a real good zoom, so I didn’t get many good pictures.
Went down to the library for a bit too and worked on some miscellaneous code for the blog. Downloaded some YouTube videos to watch later this evening. I might go for my evening walk, just to continue to work on building up my legs.

Got up early and walked down to the Express bus downtown. I barely made the earlier express bus, as I’ve gotten out of the habit of getting up earlier on the darker mornings of recent. But early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise. Plus I like my morning walks down to the bus stop.
