Albany, NY

Albany is the capital city of the U.S. state of New York, the seat of Albany County, and the central city of New York’s Capital District. Roughly 135 miles (217 km) north of the City of New York, Albany sits on the west bank of the Hudson River, about 10 miles (16 km) south of its confluence with the Mohawk River. The population of the city was 97,856 at the time of the 2010 census.

RAM PUMP – IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!

A ram pump is simply a boost converter for water, although I guess a boost converter came after the ram pump. But regardless, it's a pretty neat technology for pumping water uphill.

March 2019 Save the Pine Bush Hike

On this beautiful early spring day, well except for the clouds, we had pretty good turn out for the Save the Pine Bush hike. The birds where chirping, there was a pretty good refreshing breeze.

If you use Linux or Mac OS X, you should consider using your favorite text editor plus groff to quickly put together nicely formatted documents as PDF or even HTML. You might even find it faster then using your conventional word processor to type out your documents, as you don't have to play around with formatting -- just type in a few letter macro to do all the formatting automatically.
