I guess that’s a change, usually it snows on Friday. Then fairly cold on Sunday ☀ might be good for skiing 🎿. Then mild come next week. With the time change, the evenings will be a lot longer. 🌆 Just got to make it through this weekend, and hopefully things will be better. Then again, lately that’s been my motto for my life.

In case you live under a rock, spring starts a week from Sunday. ⛰ But first, it seems that we are going to get a snow storm on Saturday 🌨 but I’m not sure how long it will last. Going to be in the fifties most of next week.

It’s kind of a cold and dreary morning for my morning commute. 🎧 My wireless headphones quit working, it’s annoying as my other headphones are in the office. I’ll have to go get them when I get into the office and then I can use them when I go for my walk on my plaza. I missed by 10,000 step goal on Tuesday and Wednesday, and will probably miss it again tomorrow with the snow and wind coming. 🌬 That said, maybe I’ll get out skiing tomorrow 🎿, I might do the rail trail.
I also need to get my weekly assignment done for my GIS class. 🗺 I got to make a track with my phone. I actually did one earlier in the week of my bus ride home, but it’s super boring, as it’s just the bust route. 🚌 There is one section on the track where the bus got into the other lane to avoid a construction closure, 🚧 but other then that, it’s nothing to write back home about.
I am not happy about the coming snowstorm for Saturday, 🌨 but hopefully it won’t snow that much as I don’t have a snow shovel. Well by next week, with warmer weather expected, I don’t think it will stick around. At least I can get out skiing later on, maybe Sunday. ⛷ I don’t know, I’m just tired and burnt out from the week that way.
Between the four day session week and no holidays or snow days this week, it seems like it’s really dragging on. But alas it’s Friday.
We are at around 10 degrees this morning under mostly cloudy skies 🌥. Another kind of cold start to the morning but it’s expected to warm up quickly and reach the mid 30s later on. Which is cold for modern day standards for April but it could be colder for sure. 💦 Rain and the mid 60s come Sunday.
Taking the earlier express downtown 🚍, looking at the local gas station prices ⛽, highest they’ve been since the 2008 price hike. Doesn’t seem like it is slowing congestion much. $4.19 a gallon with diesel a jaw dropping $4.85. California prices. I wonder how bad it is in Pennsylvania. To be fair, I’m making significantly more money then when I was just out of college 🎓 but those prices still are pretty jaw dropping.
I’m somewhat surprised how few of the government workers are wearing muzzles 😷 inside the Concourse. I guess the pandemic is over in the minds of the politicians. I know I’m not ready to give up my muzzle just because I kind of like not getting colds. But then again I’m super spoiled as my muzzles aren’t just ordinary face diapers but at those comfortable masks made by no other than the famous Lynne Jackson.
Walking 🚶 the Plaza is rather cold this morning but I don’t like walking inside with the muzzle on. Plus I figure exposure to the cold air is good for the health 🍏 but I’m still looking forward to the spring. 🌸 I know the long range continues to suggest a cold mid March but at some point things will warm-up. Spring is coming the sun angle is getting stronger every day. ☀ There is hope or so I tell myself.
Maybe some breaks of sun, maybe some rain showers around from lake effect blowing west. Kind of cold with the breeze, not a super nice day. Friday though looks pretty nice, and then one more warm day come the weekend. On week to sunsets after 5:30 PM and dusk after 6 PM. Come next week though winter returns, with windchills pushing the zero mark again. It’s not over until it’s over.

Did you see that they will soon be making 40 terabyte hard drives? That’s 40,000 gigabytes which is even less of an incentive to not be a data hoarder. I can remember a. time when a 2 gigabyte drive or even a 40 MB hard drive was a big thing. Good news for the government workers who have voyeuristic interests in random people.

I was so tired last night that I skipped my evening walk, 🚶 but I made up for it with walking down to the express, I guess. It’s probably good I didn’t walk yesterday, as the previous night was so icy, to say the least. 🍝 The spaghetti and meatballs was good though I made up for dinner, and I didn’t go overboard like I sometimes do making pasta.
Been looking at dress shirts 👔 but it’s tough now that Sears and I hear that JC Penny is closed. Or maybe their not? From looking at Crossgates website, they might still exist. I would order them online, but they are always out of stock online, or the website is confusing or the price changes every time I reload. Maybe if I get desperate, I’ll spend more but I know what I like for wearing for work and is comfortable. I am not totally out of shirts, but I will need more as one of the shirts I have is an older shirt which is fine, but isn’t as comfortable as I like and is frankly showing signs of wear. I just find it very hard to order clothes online. I don’t do pinpoint collars, only button collars. And if that isn’t swanky, then too bad.
