With the rain showers at six AM I skipped my morning walk but caught the earlier express downtown which was on time and will walk the Plaza before work. Mostly packed and ready to go up north though I might wait until tomorrow depending on the weather.

Last night I got packed for heading out of town ⛺ and went to the library 📚 and got a bunch of books to read up at camp. Truth be told it looks like a cold weekend for June with highs only in the fifties on Saturday. Looks windy so I’m not sure if I will bring my kayak 🛶.
I have Friday through Tuesday off, 🏖 and I’ll probably stay off the internet during that time as I won’t have service up in the woods 🌲🌳 and want to do more reading. 📖 The phone is such a distraction. I’ll schedule some other posts for the blog and turn off my Facebook tweets avoid vandalism.
I am looking at the forecast for Saturday ♨ and I’m not sure if I should bring the heater or not. I want to have two coolers so they last all four or five nights with the ice and it’s just more stuff to bring but it’s going to be chilly on Saturday with the wind. Decided with the breeze to skip bringing the screen text.
It will be nice to be away, been eight 8⃣ weeks since I last got out of town but with gas prices what they are I figure I have to cut back plus work has been super busy. Who know next weekend might be really hot and I might do Schoharie. Depends. 🔥 Looking forward tonight to having a big fire. Also I think 🤔 I want to get some ✨ sparkling devices on Monday. I’d like to camp for the Independence Day Weekend 🇺🇸 but where is undecided.
I am thinking about taking the first week of August off for summer vacation 🏊♂️. Those weekends aren’t race weekends at Watkins Glen so it should be quiet in the National Forest. I might take off the Friday before to get the campsite I want by getting there early. Then I’ll have two full weekends to hang out and go there directly to save fuel ⛽.
I was hoping for warmer weather for tubing this weekend but it doesn’t look quite as nice as I had hoped mercury I wise. Only in the upper 60s up north. But lots of sun come the weekend it looks.

It’s odd but always on Monday the earlier express bus is on time. But I was making good time and I knew it from the real time bus map.

A fairly nice morning 🌅, not too hot but sunny. Going to get hot as the week proceeds although certainly not that far off for the start of calendar summer.
Gas 💵 prices remain around $5 locally with a lot of fuel ⛽ stations avoiding breaking the $4.99 9/10 mark. I know when I go up north I’ll fuel up in Schenectady where the county has reduced taxes. Why reward the bad behavior of Albany County Legislators?
I am not totally sure if I will take off Thursday and Friday or Friday and Monday ⛺ but I think I want to get out of town for four nights. I could technically do five nights if I drove up after work – the days are long enough – but the issue is having the ice remain and having to move after 3 nights 🌃.
I guess the ice issue isn’t that big of a deal, 🍙 as I could always run into two on Sunday afternoon, especially if I need to move my campsite due the 3 nights limit expiring and limit on camping for 3 nights in any one spot. But I have to think about my options more.
Tonight after work, I want to get out the inner tube and put away the heater. ⭕ I need to reinflate it, and if anything like last time, it will take about 30 minutes to fill with my little pump. I guess I could take it to the gas station, like a Stewarts to fill it up but the little pump worked fine, it just took a while. But my battery bank 🔋 should be full after today.
