A short section of NY 14 has been upgraded to four lanes outside of Watkins Glen. 

Over the Oil Creek, dating back to the era of the oil boom.

Moss Lake, outside of Big Moose, has a decent swimming beach, although the water is pretty shallow and when you get out further into the lake, it's quite mossy and gross. But on the shallows of the lake, the sand is nice for wadding out and splashing around. Plus, there are eight quite nice campsites around the lake, along with an old woods road known as the "Moss Lake Circuit Trail".

Walking along Meads Road on Sunday I spotted this Bald Eagle flying over.
