Got stuck with the train loading the propane yard last night

Fortunately for me though he wasn't blocking the Erie St so I could bypass him by going over Broadway. It's good I rode my bike home too, as it looked like Southern Boulevard was blocked, and traffic was very heavy on the roads as everybody was forced over McCarthy Avenue at the end of Interstate 787. Elsmere Avenue was even particularly busy with all the traffic forced that way. I'm glad I missed the traffic craziness on my bike.

Happy Friday, Let’s Get Ready for Rain β˜”

Actually it looks like it’s going to hold off until later on Saturday, but I packed my rain coat on my bike so it ensures I can ride home this evening without rain falling on me. Only rains on days that I don’t pack the rain coat or I take the bus.

Tomorrow’s the Save the Pine Bush Hike. 🌲 Hopefully the rain will hold off for that. And hopefully people will show up as Lynne Jackson said she’s going to be out of town, and rain and clouds often scares people away. 🚢 If I nobody shows up, I’ll pack my mountain bike and ride trail for a while until the rain comes. I might do some thrifting while I’m up that way, though my wardrobe is pretty good based on previous trips.

Heading in a bit early today as all week I’ve been abit late. 🚲 Been getting to bed late and not up each morning for work and a few times I forgot things and had to run home to get them. Still riding in most days of week. Bike has been riding good and quiet since I used some knock-off WD-40 on the axles and got a lot of brake fluid and crap off the rotators and pads, though they still sqweak a bit.

Super tired last night, πŸ›οΈ so basically after dinner I laid back to bed and was out like a light until morning. I did get up briefly around 10 PM and had a bit of a snack of blueberries and oatmeal but then it was bed until 5:30 AM or so when I started making eggs and coffee for breakfast. πŸ₯š

Next weekend I’m thinking about hiking in the Catskills on Saturday and maybe doing a quick overnight. πŸ•οΈ ⛰️ Weather right now looks pretty good. Mom and Dad are doing a Mother’s Day thing that weekend so they won’t be around. I certainly want to avoid the city next weekend with the tulip festival. 🌷 One option would be to do the Catskill Scenic Trail next Sunday – that was such a nice springtime ride last year on Monthers Day.
