How many hours a month do I spend grating carrots? 🥕

That was the question on my mind as I prepared the standard morning fare that usually contains a base of carrots – this morning apple pancakes with excessive amounts of stevia, lemon juice, cinnamon, and two eggs for extra protein and cholesterol. Soon enough I’ll be morbidly obese after I ride my bike to work or at least I’ll be pooping good with the strong coffee in the the office.

It’s a Monday and I’m up and going. 😴 Didn’t get up until after 6 AM but then again it was closer to 10 PM when I got to bed last night as I was flipping through yesterday’s photos and unpacking clothes after doing my laundry and other things. With the longer days, it wasn’t until like 8:30 PM when I got home from hiking at Holt Preserve and watching the sun set mostly into the clouds. 🌇

Well the bike should be running well, 🚵‍♂️ and today I’ll toss the empty milk bottle in the recycling bin 🚮 on the way to work and on the way home get more milk and eggs at Hannaford. I guess if it’s really nice out, I could go to Five Rivers 🐸 and go to Stewart’s tomorrow morning, but well see. I don’t have a hard plan for the evening. I could come home, have dinner and then ride over to Elm Avenue Park. Tomorrow will be even warmer but clouds and showers by evening.

Three weeks have come and gone since I ordered the truck cap, 📆 and I’m patiently waiting for that as it will be nice to get out in the woods, see how the SuperDuty drives on the highway and rural roads, and what kind of MPG the screen I said I wouldn’t look at while burning $5 or $6 a gallon gas. ⛽ It’s nice how that SuperDuty drives, even if it’s no fuel-sipping Ford Pinto or whatever the kiddos drive these days. Continuing to figure out the best way to run wires, and which ones to run, and starting to unpack and clean up the old truck.

It was a pretty nice day out hiking yesterday. 🏞️ I was quite impressed by Spliting Rocks Falls and the Hannacroix Ravine, I don’t know why I had never hiked back into the ravine before besides not really knowing it and no formal trail back to the falls. Still was definately worth the walk, though you’d want waders or farm boots 👢 like I wore for the hike. Surprisingly deep gorge, I have more photos I will post later today. The big SuperDuty with it’s beefy engine was pretty powerful and a joy to drive over Cass Hill Road and it’s almost addictive on the rural highways how it drives. 🐮 But also I miss spending time out in the country. Well soon enough I’ll have the truck cap and start planning long weekend adventures.

Well one of the Supervisors is off and I got a stack of work left on my desk after hours on Friday, 📝 that needs addressing once I get in the office, so I best get in the shower, 🚿 hop on my bike, get listening to more of Jack Kerouck’s On the Road 🛣️ and head up to Menands on this beautiful Monday morning. And onwards to the next day, and hopefully that truck cap will be arriving sooner then later.
