Floodwood Mountain Trail

Take Floodwood Road 6.5 miles west to the Floodwood Reservation sign, then head south on Floodwood Mountain Road for 1/4 mile to a parking area. From the gate on Floodwood Mountain Road, head 7/10th of a mile on a gated road (good for mountain bikes) to Floodwood Mountain Trail. The Floodwood Mountain Trail is 1.0 miles to summit. Best views are from the south, so after taking in the north view, continue to follow the herd path down into a valley then up and over a ledge on the summit for dramatic south and south-west views.
