It’s getting so weird with the Bunny Pal ℒ️  🐰

I can’t check the weather, read the New York Times or even my blog without that cute, fake mechanical bunny popping up in my advertising feed. All because I’m apparently interested in it as not only did I click on the ad twice, I watched a YouTube video on it and wrote a blog post on it.

I guess Janis Joplin was not wrong about one pill will make you larger and other smaller but one you parents give you won’t do anything all. πŸ’Š I know I got to stay away from those caffeine pills and cups of coffee β˜• and lately I’ve been better about cutting back, especially with my caffeine-free Sundays. And my sleep has improved, but now it’s Tuesday mornings that are tough after a rough Monday. Did I abuse caffeine this morning? πŸ˜ƒ We’ll I’m wide awake.

I haven’t smoked any grass since King’s Day January, 🌾 though things have just gotten werider in our country much like that world of the White Rabbit. I honestly had hoped that Donald Trump would have legalized and loosened the restrictions around smoking pot like legally bringing it across state lines and smoking it up in National Forest. Plus cheaper pot. I know I just got to have my own land and grow it myself, next to rabbits for meat. πŸ– I do get tired of all that tofu and vegetables for lunch, and getting told by everybody, “I just assumed Andy was a vegetarian.” πŸ₯• Lately I have been eating a lot of carrots, maybe that’s why I think so much about rabbits.

Made it through another work week. πŸ•οΈ Much likeΒ the past few weeks, probably too crappy to get out camping. I am worried 😯 now about fire risk with the wind, πŸ”₯ πŸš’ and it turned out to be cloudy and gray this morning πŸŒ₯️ even if it’s expected to turn to heavy rain β˜” on Sunday into Monday.Β  Maybe it’s dreams of velvet rabbit, watching the toys of yesteryear go up into smoke in wilderness. 🌲 Burn ban goes into effect tomorrow, though that’s not really for campfires despite what the liberals may claim, it only applies to burning big piles of brush that burn all night long. That said, I don’t like to have a fire πŸ”₯ unless I’m in pretty remote country with no dry grass or leaves around this time of year, not to mention the wrong people with prying eyes πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’ saying you can’t burn that kind of plastic shit as I recycle it back into carbon dioxide. 🌲

Truth is I woke up this morning in a dream πŸ›οΈ about the kitchen faucet breaking and leaking all over the place, and having to reach out to the landlord to fix it. πŸ”§And then have to clean up before he comes – I don’t know why I care that much – I do need to clean regardless. 🧼 It’s actually kind of nice having my building owned by an LLC and a fairly anonymous owner, and not having a phone number but only an email. πŸ“§ It’s actually good to have things in writing, and the refrigerator got replaced relatively quickly, though the old unit stuck around for a few weeks until they could chop it out and haul it to curb for the scrappers. And hell of it was, it was just a dream. πŸ’ The old landlord replaced the cruddy old faucet a few years back. The new landlord knows what a dump this place is, I’m sure it will be gutted when I move out. Still I don’t want to move until I have to as I don’t want to spend a lot of money on a house or renting an expensive place I hate. 😀

So probably no camping today with the clouds and wind. 🌬 I might go for a ride later 🚴 if it clears up and walk down to the library in a bit. πŸ“š Continue working on my taxes πŸ–‡ and read some. πŸ“– And just kind of hang around home. If it was sunnier I thought about taking a drive out to mountains in my big jacked up truck, but it looks like a shitty day for that. πŸ’© I figure nicer weather will be around the corner come April. 🎣 Maybe plan a trip for fishing up on East Branch in Adirondacks, do some hiking and a long weekend early to mid-April. Once most of snow is gone, but before the black flies 🐜 and things are dried out and fire risk high. πŸ”₯ If I’m going to the Adirondacks I want it to be safe to have a big fire so I can do a big landfill-free clean out and enjoy the bright flames well into the evening, where nobody will be bothering me or I’ll be bothering them with the smoke. A velvet rabbit moment or two for adults while smoking pot and drinking some beer. Just a campfire though, as you know you have to comply with the brush burn ban.

Early Spring Means Shoulder Season

It’s shoulder season out there. Spring as we know, doesn’t come to the mountains until mid-May, when things finally green up.

But by now, one can pretty much take it for granted that a lot of energy of winter is diminished as each day becomes harder for it to be cold with the sun’s angle growing stronger.

Lots of mud and “surprise” snow in the mountains will be left for some time, but eventually it will dry up and green up too. Figure May 10th to be safe.

LONDON, March 11 (Reuters) - The Trump administration is considering cancelling the lease of the support office for a renowned Hawaiian climate research station, sources said, raising fears for the future of key work tracking the impact of carbon emissions on global warming. The office is one of more than 20 rented by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration that are proposed to have their leases ended under money-saving efforts by the Department of Government Efficiency led by billionaire Elon Musk.
