Happy Saturday, if you could call it that πŸŒ₯️

After all the rain yesterday, I feel terribly sore and stiff. I didn’t get out and do much walking, I was running too late to catch the early bus yesterday and it just rained and rained and with my laptop on me and being a Friday I didn’t feel like walking laps in the Plaza.

Truth is my stress levels have gone through the roof ever since Wednesday, when riding home it became painfully obvious that I would need to replace that back wheel on my bike due to rim wearing out. πŸ₯² Then that impossible to do project at work that I struggle to get parsed and work load that suddenly started to pile up on my desk after a relatively quiet first half of the week. Funny how much my work picked up after the State Budget reached near competition.

By Thursday evening I was so stressed and at edge, πŸ«€πŸ’“ I felt almost like I was having a heart attack, even thought about seeking medical attention reconigizing my mid-40s age and my family’s cardiac history, though I know it was just a panic attack. But it was bad, really severe jitters probably in part due to all the coffee β˜• and my anger over having to spend to $171 to sort of half of fix my bike with parts, with me doing the labor after talking to the Woke Bike Store. 🚲 As much as I like biking to work and around town, I find the whole cycling community and all that it stands for to be quite despicable.

It was absolutely fine, πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ drilling out the new wheel to fix the Schroeder valve is a normal thing to do with mountain bikes, those Preska valves and tubeless tires aren’t the right option for me. πŸ”§ I can’t seem to find my Torque set, and I am missing some of my drills but I’ll get both of them at Home Depot on Sunday when I go out. The whole thing is stressing me out about not much money. I mean could have the shop mount the wheel but I can do it.

Thinking about Sunday going out to the Berskshires to hike. 🚢 Or maybe somewhere in Rensselaer County. I never get out to do much hiking any more – or when I do usually it part of an overnight trip, and I end up hiking or riding near camp. πŸ•οΈ Truth is I’m always trying to save money, not burn some gas or wear out my truck, β›½ but I should get out more and explore.
